Does anyone have a great, epic screenshot of femshep? I'm still stuck on this motivationals thread.

chem I keep thinking of that shot of shotgun_shepards - the one where poor old shep looks like she's laid out with Kaidan behind her. - saying something like femShep - Galactic Hero, its a dirty job but someone has to do it, or femshep -taking one for the teamPosted Image

Hahaha...actually I starting doing the Zombie Land rules.  The Reaper Possessed Saren was Rule #2 Double Tap.  The Mako was Rule # 5 seat belts.  I keep looking for one of Ash getting chased by husks for Rule # 1 Cardio, and a nice shot of femShep for the revised rule 17,  Be a hero.

Also, good morning, ladies! I haven't a prayer of catching up from Friday. Anything epic occur?

Nothing epic today at least. I have been popping in here from time to time today(and it's afternoon here now).

Thanks for your Jacob report. It convinced me once more that the Jacob rommance is nothing for me. I will keep all my five Shepards far away from him.

D'you know, I really wonder why they didn't include a little flashback thingy, even just a still shot, of your LI during the Normandy crash mission. I find it hard to believe that no one at BW would have thought of implementing that. It couldn't have been a great expense to include it. Perhaps they decided not to, in order to clear the path for the ME2 LIs? Of course we did get the picture on our desks. Hmm.

Morning everyone
I can't tell you the amount of time I spent running backwards & forwards on this mission in my first playthrough thinking I'd missed a bit because I didn't get a Kaidan flashback.  Youngest teen kept coming out laughing at me - haven't you finished that mission yet.  I had done everything but I was looking for Kaidan, damn you bioware

I don't understand either, they included a shot of Joker whose still alive so why not the ME1 LI.

Makes no sense what so ever, they could have easily just flagged it to occur if you were still faithful to the LI and not to occur if you started up a ME2 romance.

Glad my sacrifice could help one soul.   I was wondering if anyone read it.  None of my Sheps will end up with him.

They didn't include the ME1 LI because they wanted to make their role in ME2 as trivial and glossed over as they could.

The negativity fairy strikes again :wizard:

Sia, thanks for the report! You really took one for the team there! I'm pleased that my initial impressions of the Jacob romance turned out to be accurate...no matter what I pretended to think of it on April Fool's Day. ;)

When your husband looks at the end result of the romance and says, "Yeah, you're better off with Alenko/Garrus," you know it's bad.

Hehe, I've decided that Jacob's romance was a joke/experiment by the writers, they wanted to see how extremely cheesy they could make a romance option and what the reaction from the fans would be.  That's the only rational explanation for it I can come up with.

I do get bitter, sometimes, thinking that they wasted the resources on Jacob, when they could have given the Virmire survivor a larger role.

Or at least they could have taken the time to give them completely unique lines instead of changing a word or two.

I'm still angry about that <_<

I actually thought this way about all of the ME2 femshep romance options.  they were all just too cheesey for me.
Jacob - I really don't need to say anything
Garrus - the whole work off some stress angle turned me off and I thought it was out of character for both Garrus & Shep, and when he turns up at her cabin its just too cringeworthy to watch
Thane - apart from the fact that I wasn't interested in him, his memory thing creeped me out, and the "thane I want you" written on the dialogue wheel (I know they weren't the actual words spoken) after he'd just been going on about his dead wife turned me off totally.
None of them came close to the Kaidan romance.

The lack of depth to the ME2 romances just leaves me feeling like they are supposed to be a quick fling and not a real relationship with the ME2 LI.

They should have just had one or two romance options In ME2 and focused more on those instead of having what seemed like the majority of the unattached characters on the Normandy trying to climb into bed with you.

I'll have to agree to disagree on that. Despite the awfulness of Jacob's Romance, for the right Shep (Renegade/Renegon/Cerberus Sympathizer), it's not a fling.

@Shenzi - yes there were just too many squadmates and LI's in ME2 for there to be any depth whatsoever. Bioware made a mistake in bowing to fan pressure to have everyone & their dog as a LI, and I hope they don't go this way with ME3

I agree with the above comments SO MUCH. Really wish they'd given us 8 squadmates with proper dialogue and 2-4 new LIs instead of what they did.

Garrus is my buddy, I don't want to blow off steam with him! The only romance/hook up I might have pursued in ME2 with a totally new Shep would have been Ken, and of course they cut that.

I'd have to say that, while all three romances appear to have good aspects to them, I only know this via YouTube because they all start too horribly for me to make my Shepard hit on any of them.

And, in better news, Standard Issue Life update.

eta@crimson:  well, yes, I have one Shep who would've hit on Ken if they'd kept that in.  Accent/tech speak/doesn't mind getting beaten at poker...

Ken I would have loved to do a romance option with him.   I love Scottish accents. Plus he reminds me of Soctty from Star Trek. And I love Soctty<3
