My main love for rpgs is the story, I just love a good story. For me it's an interactive book and i love reading. I also like the character creation and rp aspects of the game.

I really like RPG's because they're
basically a really good book that you can go through multiple times and
change the story. I'm not really big on the stats, loot, and whatever
other RPG cliches you can think of.
QFT! Word for word, you two are channelling the conversation I was having w/a friend of mine, trying to explain my BioWare addiction. (Well, actually, they were laughing at me for crying at the end of DAO... 'it's just a game" "but, but, it's so sad! Stupid noble Alistair... *sniffled some more*)

I purchased ME because I watched a coworker
play it one morning while killing time before a meeting (we get off at 6
am but they always schedule meetings after 8), I loved the story &
have not really been into shooters (although I had gone from Oblivion to
Fallout 3 so I was not really novice). I choose casual because I was
into the story - I wanted to know how it ended - then I was hooked and I
never looked back.
Obsession: All of a sudden- your there!!
who, us, obsessed? really?

:innocent: In such good company here...

I know that if you play as male
Shepard, you never experience lots of the interaction with Kaidan that
make him interesting, and we didn't even get a loyalty quest in the
first game to make up for it.
Mass Effect 3 really needs more
friendship options for squadmates, it's no fair that if you don't
romance a particular character, you miss out on so much, in both games.
So true. I didn't particularly like Ashley until, working on the achievement, I played a MaleShep, dragged her everywhere, and played the romance. She's awesome now. Kicks ass, and totally captures the "don't call me sir, I work for a living" sort of vibe that a lot of NCO's give off.
