So what's this LI related comment Kasumi makes? All my Shep's are faithful to Kaidan

When you talk to Kasumi on the ship and you have a ME2 LI, she makes a remark specific to them about your relationship.  For Thane she says something about his eyes when he looks at you, and for Tali she says something about hearts and rainbows.  LOL, I wonder what she says about Jacob.

Probably something about polishing his trophy collection. Posted Image

lol I don't know... I'd imagine that's a tiny collection. Surely there aren't that many people who fall victim to his lines? Especially not with temptations such as this walking around:

Guess no one stopped in here to say this yet, but we thought you all needed fair warning. Liara got totally screwed over in the comic that came out today. So you might want to fear the worst when it comes to Kaidan as well, so as not to be as hurt as the Liara fans are right now.

If they can do this to Liara, it can happen to Kaidan and Ashley too.

No... no, I am not frustrated with the lack of support from EA... and... mergh... I better stop. Need coffee..

The DA rollout was an complete disaster.

My husband couldn’t get any DLC to work and EA support was absolutely clueless.  The solution came from the user forums, not EA support.

I hardly call it a screw over not everything has too revolve around Shepard. She moved on, and I like that it gives her character. She doesn't follow Shepard like a lost puppy.

Aye, sounds very familiar. While it seems the natural way of things, I still don't quite agree with it:
Small company, good support and work becomes successful
Successful small company becomes lager
Large successful company starts to take over and gets in all over their heads and completely forget where the hell they are coming from and that without fans and quality they will all eventually go down to hell again...
*insert random ranting to continue...*

I actually think they're trying to hold to the assertion that they're giving the ME1 and ME2 LIs equal footing for ME3. Which means that Horizon/Ilium was a restart button for those of us with loyal Shepards.

I don't mind having to re-woo Kaidan... as long as it's not written like Jacob's.... ;)

Maybe the Liara/Feron thing is analogous to Kaidan and Ashley's reaction to Horizon? They're angry as hell at Shepard, whereas Liara would be willing to go with Shep, but can't because of the Shadow Broker thing.

Hell no - I don't think anyone has a problem with actually having to rebuild the trust and to kit the relationship between Kaidan and Shepard. It's just that those 3 minutes of bad dialog and a small message are... crap.

I am really really hoping that we will have lots of options (at least dialog wise) to get his trust again, to check if he still feels the same way, to slowly show him that we do... you know... without getting carried away.

Wouldn't it be funny if Kasumi's line about Jacob was how he was always oogling after Miranda, despite being in a romance with femShep?

Haha. If you talk to Kasumi enough eventually she hints that she likes Jacob. It's pretty funny. "That Jacob, Hmm. I wonder if he has an interest in Japenese girls with a tendency towards Kleptomania" ... Ok that quote might be a little off but it went something like that. :D First thing I thought was ... he's all yours.

I won't mind taking time to get to know Kaidan again, it would be a little *too* fast if we were just going to fall into bed with him (ahem, not that I mind that in fanfiction Posted Image), and I know they will continue with the tradition of build up>establishing relationship>love scene in the next game as usual.  I'd just be unhappy if there's no acknowledgement of the past, and I'm just going to give up completely if Kaidan isn't a squadmate this time around.  There's no way they can do justice to the romance if he's not in Shepard's party.

Ugh, I went from being cautiously optimistic this morning after doing the Kasumi DLC, to horribly depressed about the state of things after reading about the last Redemption comic and seeing some nasty Kaidan bashing in another thread.  I need a Kaidan hug.  Posted Image

Well, after hearing about Redemption #4, it seems that Liara fans have their very own Horizon/citadel doctor thing going on.

The writers really hate us ME1 LI fans, don't they?

Cerberus are the only ones who acknowledge and care about the Reaper threat, and Kaidan, Ashley and Liara are all self-absorbed jerks who don't care about you or the death of the galaxy.  Tali and Garrus are far more awesome because they blindly follow you, and the new ME2 squadmates are the only ones we should care about.

I finally get it now.

From what I understand, I believe the real problem is Liara doesn't move on from Shepard, not in the comics and not in the game except for this bit at the end of Redemption #4 where she suddenly does and now it's all about Feron.
Not only is this an ill-timed heel turn, it also makes Liara in ME2 either a liar or an idiot given the contradictory things she says.

I suppose it also  doesn't help that Feron is what you get if you took Thane, got rid of his attractiveness, personality and competence and dressed him like a cyber-hobo.

I don't think dead woman er...  the Citadel doctor lady really compares at all.
Kaidan tried to move on given that Shep was dead, and is honest about, he outright tells you what he's been doing and how he felt about it, a lot of people wouldn't.

Kaidan also doesn't spend two years obsessing over said Citadel Dr. Lady.

Oh, hi everyone!  My raging is now spilling over into the other fan-threads now.

aww I just thought Liara felt she owed it to Feron to find him/rescue him since she owes her life and Shepard's 2nd chance to him. Unless I missed something...I wouldn't give up on her.

Okay. Here's what I put in the ME1 LI group:

I just read the summary and I think everyone is overreacting a bit.

Maybe Liara believes what she says about not understanding why humans want resurrections so much and that it's sometimes better to let people go at the time. Same thing as Horizon. "I thought I had moved on but I really hadn't." Liara is in the "thought I moved on" stage.

She's searching for Feron, who she considers a friend. As of the time of ME2, Liara hasn't changed her mind about saving Feron (her friend), but she has decided that bringing Shepard back was the right thing to do.

Keep in mind that the comic had to be ambiguous about Shepard's gender and Liara's relationship with Shepard. If she's willing to go through the trouble to resurrect a friend, then she's willing to go through hoops to rescue the friend that helped her recover her friend.

The comic is about friendship across the board. It's vague enough that you can assert that your Shepard is in it; after all, I guarantee that the Shepard that romanced Liara is her best friend and lover.

Yeah, it's nice of her to care about Feron during those two years that Shepard is dead, but once Shep is back and meets up with Liara, I think that's where fans are having the problem.  There is no good reason, even if Shepard is just Liara's friend and not a lover, for her to put finding Feron above fighting the Reapers.  There's a major disconnect between what's in the comic and what we knew about her before, and people were hoping that whatever explanation they came up with would be a better one than this.

Imagine if we met up with Kaidan in ME2 and all he wanted was for Shepard to do some menial tasks that would help him find or avenge some random woman he had barely known, but was now obsessed with?
