You'll have to deal with either Ash or Liara then.

Here's how I'm hoping they have the confrontation:

ME1 love intrest and ME2 love intrest gets into a fight. One of them has the other knocked down, and you have to break up the fight. You either pick the ME1 LI or the ME2 LI.

That would suck for me I like Liara:(

You missed the point.  I'm saying that Liara and Tali brawling over Shepard like trailer trash would be completely counter to the personalities that have been established for them.
