Wrex with all the interesting parts stripped out.  All the reasons just given for your liking Grunt are the reasons why I find him boring and two-dimensional.

Obvious faliure of Wrex replacement is obvious.

I never found Grunt to be an intentional replacement of Wrex. They were both krogan, but they were both very different chracters, Grunt always seemed like the excited little-brother while Wrex was the cynical warrior who still believes in virtue. I still prefer Wrex over anyone any day, but I still thought Grunt was great. That's it, they were both just different chracters.

Noo blasphemy thats like saying all krogan are the same. Wrex was more dip and less colorful of a character lol. While he is also a badass he lacks the enthusiasm for killing, that and grunt is much younger and looks completely different @.@ undeniably different personalities -.-' but true maybe he was a replacement for that race lol.
