In her return in ME3, I'd say she'd look exactly the same with maybe a different pattern/color to her suit... For one she's still out of her pilgrimage, and two they've already got the best rendering of characters they're going to use for this generation of consoles, no need to make new ones.

Safest place on normandy would probably be the medical area, but don't forget that Quarians won't die from leaving their suit. If she needed to change her suit, she could simply take immuno boosters and make the transfer quick.

And Quarians are pretty much self-reliant, I doubt they'd outsource suit design and manufacturing.

I'm not saying she'd die instantly from taking her suit off, but rather how long exactly it would take her to do that, which could bring up the romance scene with Shepard. Other than that though, the Medical bay isn't too private, so I'd doubt she be changing in there.

Alright. I've long wondered how Tali's costume changed. If you look at her character in ME you'll notice a different hood, a different helmet, a different set of torso straps of color as well as a different, what looks to be, neckpiece. It has me wondering, is this new environmental suit she has a sign of maturity from her people, or one she just felt she liked over time (I know the realistic and logical answer Bioware would give as it is to make her look older, which it does but I'm looking for the in-game explanation.) Also. Considering she does have different outfits in the game, we can go ahead and assume that she does not stay in the same suit the whole time, this will beg the questions of: Where does she change in and out of her outfits? Where does she store her other suits? Does she make her suits (as in the designs)?

There is an on-topic discussion.

Suit change is probably because she passed her pilgrimage, and by her people is now considered a full woman.

Change suits in a clean room, stored them probably in pressurized sterile cases, and she probably chooses the fabric to wrap around her suit... But I think the actual suit may just be universal in design and making.

It's a difficult question to address, because the real reason is almost certainly what you said: Bioware wanted to give her a more mature and unique look to emphasize both her growth and her importance as a character.  She's the only Quarian with a unique exosuit (I believe all the others are just the same male or female model with color swaps), and that doesn't make a lot of sense from a "realistic" standpoint.

That said:  Maybe she's just at the forefront of Quarian fashion?

I think it was suggested before that because she was "Quarian royalty" that she received a nicer suit than everyone else.  Or maybe everyone just receives the same suit, but she decided to deck hers out a bit more: add some different fabric and colors to the standard exosuit material.

Yeah, but the Admirals all have the generic suits, and they're a much bigger deal in Quarian society than Tali.

Right I would think because of the Pilgramage, but we also see the possibility of her having more than one suit, which brings up another question, if she does return in Mass Effect 3, will we be seeing her the same way? I'd think the pressurized places would be one thing yes, but where would it be safest on the Normandy for her to change, how long would it take to change out of it? YOu'd think someone would be able to know what a Quarian (aside from our Shepards) looks like out of their suits because they'd have to be the one to design them, and i'm sure each of them would need to have one properly fitted.

AND lets just say they are Quarian made, could it be possible that
yeah i don't know where to go with the last sentence, I'm just trying to keep us on topic.

I think there are a group of Quarians who build the suits. I mean, not EVERY Quarian c be a soldier or engeneer, there have to be cooks, and janitors, and the like.

Eh, Chakwas leaves the room, I'm sure int he future they can do the tinting of windows that we have now... And would take her less than 5 minutes, probably a lot less considering she knows the ins and outs of her suit, and it'd be something she'd practice in case of emergencies.

Exactly. The cloth she does have are just attached to belts. she could easily take the belts off to change to fabric wiithout ever taking off her suit. It would be practical to use belts for this instead of having multiple suits

Yeah, no doubt.  I can see exosuit-makers as possibly the most repected artisans in Quarian society.  It's such an important and personal thing, you'd think that the suits would be extremely varied and be obvious signifiers of wealth or status.

*sigh* Just as I was getting back on a normal-person sleep cycle I stumble upon this rag-tag group of Talimancers and become sucked into their world.

Once again it is 4AM and I SERIOUSLY need to get my butt to bed.

I'll see you all tomorrow where I will once again forgo sleep for the joys and 'lulz' that come with reading and posting in this thread.

Goodnight all you beautiful Talimancers.

May your Sir Isaac Newtons always be the deadliest sons-of-****es in space.

Intentional or not what cancermeat said translated to "even if you have sexy ideas for her they probably wont happen for female shepard" (I may be reading into that way too much)

If Tali's not up for something in part 3 she is just a little bit....cold? Unhinged? I'd hate to think that's the case. =]

The whole "Shepard you are everything I've ever wanted and also let's get nakey together" thing followed by "I really gotta clean this engine sorry lol" really isn't working for me...

She probably just found some cool cloth on her pilgrimage and attached it in a way that made her look different.  Maybe she cares about the way her suit looks to non-quarians (Shepard???) because she wants people to look past the stigma of the exosuit, whereas most quarians don't care because they spend all their time on the Flotilla with other quarians.

I'd say if anything, it was to differentiate each other on the flotilla... Lacking the ability to see another's face, truly would leave one with the desire to set themselves apart in any way possible.

Maybe she seems to be the only one that cares what others think about quarians.
