He did give the alert code... But Pel kept torturing him and since PEl is a master at torture he knows when some one is telling him what he needs.

I am paranoid so Yes I would still say that she is going to murder someone in their sleep.

First, why wouldn't Tali be the 'canon' LI for Shep?? Tali isn't a one night stand. I only did one playthrough of me2 before my 360 broke (should get it back tomorrow.... yea ). I made my LI Tali in that one playthrough, and not to sound sappy, it was a deep connection,  I would say true love. I think it 'connected' with me because my wife and I knew each other 8 years (in the same circles) before we started dating. We dated 6 months and realized there was no other, our look was over. We have been married 11 years now (old guy I know). So it seems to me that Tali and Shep have been friends for a long time, and have turned the corner to become more. I think it was better that you couldn't romance Tali in me1, it made the wait worth it in me2. The scene didn't look to me like a 'we may die, so let's get it on, to work off some stress' like me1.  I hope they find happiness and are able to have a house together wherever that may be.

I haven't seen this posted in a while, so here if any haven't seen it. It's not mine, but just the best I've seen.

I figure that either no LI will be canon or one of the ME1 LIs will be canon just because the ME2 people spoke so much about "cheating" on the ME1 LI that I suspect that would take precedence.  Also if there was an official LI it would make sense to make that canon with ME1 instead of waiting.   But, of course, what's canon or not is Bioware's call and I don't care as long as I get to RP the game I want to

I agree with you that out of most of the LIs I saw in ME2 most of those were of the "relieve stress" variety.  I don't think the ME1 LIs were a "relieve stress" sort of thing .... those could have developed into something deeper.   Something I don't understand though is why Ash [I think the only one that mentioned it] talked about their "night" [singular] together.  I certainly thought that there would have been more than A night ... of course maybe that was the most special one for her [she is poetic] but either way I found that odd.

I did find the Tali LI to be the deepest both in terms of feeling but also [IMHO] in the effort that Bioware put into it.  [3 meetings vs. 2 ... better reasons why she did what she did and WHEN she did them .. etc.]

It may be the Quarian equivalent to puppy love or there could be the whole White Knight thing going on but Tali [IMHO] seems to have genuine feelings for Shepard moreso than others.
