Everyone seems to think that this is Liara's new personality.  I really don't think this is the case.
Her personality will certainly be affected permanently in some way, but it seems obvious to me that her colder nature is largely a result of her all-consuming obsession with the Shadow Broker.  She does show you just a little bit of her old self in one of the dialogues.  It seems like they are setting up a situation in ME3 where you can either rescue her from obsession or allow her to be consumed by it.

I liked Liara in the first game, but I don't mind her part in ME2.  Not because I like her new personality, but because I see where they are taking the relationship between her and Shepard.

Which brings up a classic ethical/moral dilemma: How do you empirically know what is "best" for the mission? There are so many potential factors that come in to play that it is exceedingly unlikely one can make that claim with full knowledge of all relevant factors. Perhaps the best one can aim for is to use one's limited knowledge and experiences that seem most relevant to the situation at hand and devise a workable solution geared towards a pre-established goal.

It's a very beautiful face, but I think it feels a little too..."femme fatale" for Tali.

It lacks a certain kindness and innocence I'd imagine her face to have.

You get a real appreciation for Tali's mean streak if you bring her to the end game with Liara in ME 1, she really gets her hands dirty there. Plus, when it comes to the Geth, she can be quite vicious as well, though not totally unreasonable. Still more likely to shoot than to ask questions.

Not really. It means I am friends with everyone. TIM is my buddy and so is Zaeed (let the workers burn). Having enemies goes against the mission.
