If you actually bothered to listen and read the mission objectives for Zaeed's loyalty mission, Shepard and Co. are supposd to liberate the refinery - that's the official mission. Furthermore, if you're Paragon you can still gain Zaeed's loyalty by persuading him that his selfish obsession with revenge endangers the overall mission which takes priority over his personal vendetta.

By mission I mean the main goal which is stopping the Collecters. If a few workers have to be sacrificed to get there then so be it. And I don't metagame.

Which, as has already been pointed out previously, you don't need to do in order to achieve the overall mission. Nor do you need to sacrifice them in order to get Zaeed on board. But it speaks volumes about the kind of person you are. I wouldn't trust you to lead me to lunch.

How do I know without metagaming knowledge whether I will need Zaeed's loyalty or not? As my Shep sees it 1 more loyal squadmate is a good thing. And I already said many times without metagaming you can't be sure Zaeed will remain loyal if you help the workers. Also had Vido escaped it is well within his power to kill more innocents than those that died at the refinary. For what you think of me I don't much care.

I didn't have metagaming knowledge either when I did it the first time. However, if I can't count on Zaeed putting his personal feelings aside and be sure that he won't let it get in the way of mission objectives and direct orders then I don't want him along on a far more important mission. Cowboy behaviour like that is most definitely not how a military operation works. You'd know that if you have ever served.

Well this is what opinions are all about. We can agree to disagree. Neither of us are wrong.

Under different circumstances that might be the case, yet since it is clearly outlined that you are on that mission to liberate the occupied refinery you going along with Zaeed's revenge and in the process destroying the refinery and killing the workers fails that objective. Thus you are entitled to your opinion but you are wrong from the mission objective which was what you were referring to previously as taking first priority. You can't have it both ways. Check and mate.

As I said when I speak of the mission I mean the overarching plot: Stopping the Reapers. Gaining Zaeed's loyalty while disposing of a criminal gang leader helps me more than risking losing his loyalty and letting the criminal escape.

Which has already been covered previously. You can twist and turn all you want but your arguments are not able to weasel you out of this one. Perhaps you should have considered your choice of words more carefully before hand along with your line of reasoning. Live and learn grasshoppa.

Not a ****ing chance. Sorry bud. The quote functions on this forum bite a big one and I'm not inclined to put any more effort in to it than has already been spent. What I will do is remove the quote from this post so that it is less likely to keep reappearing.

From the very start I mentioned the mission being stopping the Reapers. IMO having Zaeed by my side (and in my heart suck it Talimancers) helps me achieve that goal more than saving the factory workers. You might think he is untrustworthy anyway, I do not.
