Indeed. There are sound reasons as to why Lafayette was treated as a hero in the US though many seem to have forgotten with the passage of time. It would be the same reason there are streets and boulevards named after that Frenchman in the US.

That's assuming a lot of Americans know anything about French involvement in Vietnam.  I love my country and all, but most of us aren't too good at history, lot along foreign history.

Kids might not, but thier parents who lived during that time period probably do and they passed their disdain onto thier children.

In case you don't know, I'll sum it up for you.
Vietnam was a French controlled nation being overseen by the japanese. yeah i know wtf right? well anyway the japs didnt do a very good job of governing and basically raped the nation. Needless to say the Veitnam didn't really like this all that well and decided to declare their independence. Japs got their asses kicked and pulled out and the french werent in a very stable military position after WWII. Things look good for the vietnamese and they actually praised americans for ther overthrowing of oppression in our own revolutionary war. Unfortunately for them they decided to make a commy governemt. The  french decided that they didnt like this and called upon the US to do thier dirty work for them. Initially US just gave supplies to France to help them since we were allies but when the french couldn't hold on they essentially forced the US to send troops by threatening to pull support of america in the Cold War. A much more dangerous affair. So the US went in despite much much protesting.

And hatred for the french began.

A salient point. Also, what about historical archives and possible photos/images of Quarians? I have a hard time believing that the Council just wiped their databases of such information, or restricted it. It seems much more likely that it is a game design by BioWare in order to further the Quarian mystery, IMO.

And that's fine, providing that they deliver the payoff, and as someone else said, best do it with the most popular Quarian.

Sorry, wife is Vietnamese & her father spent 17 years in prison for helping the French & then US. I have been to Vietnam (not in war) and have seen the poverty. Just gets me upset, sometimes just go off. No disrespect intended.

I for one blame the turian ambassador, he clearly has something to do with this Council conspiracy! He's a master of it, just look at what happened with the Reapers! He was behind it, some how... some way...

1) While you may find history boring I find it fascinating.

2) Knowing history may allow you to avoid repeating some of the same perceived errors.

3) You do not get to tell me what to do in this thread or elsewhere. Ever. I extend the same courtesy to you.

4) We agree that Tali'Zorah has a very well scripted, in-depth character.

I fully expect BW to go "yes it is up to you to keep her alive" then sends us the bill for the VA salary, all the writers and design, artists, programmers that make Tali alive salaries too. Also the cost of overhead to maintain this staff so they can make Tali. Effectively asking us to pay for Tali's share in ME3.

LOL, no you cant, but in the codex entry it says they have quarian models. So I'd say even people who can't remember what quarians looked like know what they look like.
