Excuse me as I ponder this question myself.

I really don't know. It could be "lesser of 2 evils" since I find Miranda and Jack to be overwhelmingly hostile towards my character, but in reality she really is one of the more thought out players with probably THEE best voice acting from Liz Sroka. I'm talking about ME2, cuz I found her a little annoying in ME1 (but still less annoying than those other "soldiers"), but we all fell in love with her from ME1, so what is it? The answer is probably found in the OP, but IMO if ME were a movie trilogy, Tali would be the quintessential LI for Shepard. That's just me though no need to go spreading that around.
