We have over 2000 pages of Tali conversations.  It is inevitable that new and interesting ideas pop up.  We've already talked about the stuff that I suppose someone like you would consider sane and normal.  So in light of that we come up with new topics that peak our interest and cause us to actually *gasp* think.  I for one very much enjoy our "weird" conversations because it forces people to think in a way that they would not have otherwise.  And besides, this is a video game community, the whole purpose of these games is to give us an escape from reality and immerse ourselves in a new and exciting world.  Reality has no place here.

Reality has a place every were Mass effect does use Reality as it bases, Humans breath Oxygen that is reality, space has no gravity that is reality, Suns will die out this is reality, People will die this is reality, people will learn this is reality. I can keep going on but Reality is in mass effect reality can be bent and twisted but reality remains a constant thing in every life that goes on, A true idea of none reality is beyond the simple mind to comprehend.

To sum this up, Yes Mass effect is a Sci-fi game but there are basic Reality laws that it must bow before to make sense in any forum turn and light, when people obsesses over the idea that what cannot be must be is the moment one began to lose site of reality.

Again you can love tali you can poke at fun idea but obsessing over a fiction character baring children and when everything point to it not being the case and refusing it and make it a obsession to prove people wrong is taking it to far.

Alright smartass.  The context of the word "reality" as you originally used it implies that we (tali fans) cannot differentiate between what is real and what is fictional or what only exists in the ME universe.  Of course sci-fi is based on reality, I'm not stupid.  But to say that the good people of this thread have somehow lost connection with the real world simply because they are speculating on cross-species reproduction within the confines of the twisted science that exists in the ME world is rediculous.

Call me what you will but the reality is even in the game own reality they prove it is not possible Quarians  are a dextro-protein species much like the Tuirians. If you romances garrus as femshep Mordin give you advise over what not to do with a dextro-protein species. As well as a Bar tender warn of eating foods of a dextro-protein species can case illness be it minor.

Further more genetic alteration is not at the level people assume if it was why have we never seen more genetically altered soldiers with traits from are own planet, Wolves have higher sense then we, as well as many other animals yet we do not see such actions taken. The best genetic alteration we ever seen in Mass effect is grunt and all he is, is PURE krogan all of the good traits none of the bad, but that just working within one own genetic structure with no addition of others and even Grunt himself was a LARGE scale trail and error.

To sum it up there two far different there not of the same worlds cannot eat the same foods do not share the same DNA there are so many differences that it be a twice the size trial and error of what created grunt that may never work.

Accept the game reality or fall into madness it is that simple.

n still as i said if bioware wnts a hybrid baby they will add it Image IPB

k, I really don't know where that came from.  I completely agree the hybrid is impossible scientifically, (if Bioware wants it tho it will happen).  I was arguing your point that simply discussing this topic is a sign of mental instability or psychotic (sp?)  behavior.

Okey, you got me there.

But anyway, it's interesting to talk about it for a bit: do you think Quarians were going to be like the most humanoid-shaped alien species in the game (if you dismiss the fingers), or do you think that this concept became real after Bioware saw the interest in them (and therefore in tali)?

Because during my first playtrhoughs during ME1 I considered them a mix between a Turian and an Asari, but then in Ascension and ME2 they seem to be more like a human with less fingers.

I like the change, of course. Whatever makes Tali more hottie has to be done if it doesn't seem weird.

I think they had Quarians planed out from the begining (not the unsuited look anyways). Quarians from ME1 doesn't look any diffrent from Tali in ME1, the "face" that you can see from behind the mask is the same. Also, Quarians can have exacly as much in common with the Turians as a whale to a duck - the only known biological similarity is the DNA being dextro-protein based... and that's really nothing because both human and a platypus have levo-protein DNA...

The writers seem to be very subtle. Every time I play through I notice something else (sneaky bastards probably laughing there asses off at us). At least with a book like Lord of the Rings it's all laid out for you (Gandalf is explained into other Tolkien literature in more detail).

I also noticed you can see more face definition in ME1 than ME2 (especially with the Phoenix armor).

I finally finished my renegade playthrough of ME2 last night.

I planned on keeping the collector base, but I had Tali in my squad when TIM called. She told me it was wrong to keep it, and then TIM said something like, she's just an alien, she can't possibly understand this!

Then I blew up the base.

I never said psychotic nature just a slight forum of mental instability, When everything point to it be imposable from the game own Lore to Real life lore and people just can't let it go that fine, but to take it to level to trying and disprove the game own written law and the basic law of reality is making it a obsession a note a few people have shown. I'm not saying don't love tali but at the end of the day remember it a game, and sometime one just has to accept what the cards the game lays are.

Ok, I can agree with you to a point on that.  But there have been plenty of times where sci-fi entities have broken their own rules (Star Wars, constantly) and so it is conceivable that some people here felt that it could happen somehow.  I also feel that some of the people who were arguing FOR the hybrid were simply playing Devil's Advocate.

This renegade playthrough was my 6th or 7th.  I've lost count.  But this was the first time Tali had actually said anything during that particular conversation with TIM and I had taken her to the human reaper everytime before that.

Another first in that playthrough, Tali didn't pull me up into the Normandy at the end of the mission like she had every other playthrough.  Zaeed saved my ass this time around.  Maybe he's a little closer of a bro than I at first believed... No, no.  We're just bros.
