Unless that was in a Codex entry and that was a total waste of a post...
It is mentioned that some of the other sapient species have had different dialects in the past (ex. the Asari) but it seems they have died out and/or become amalgamated in to one singular language construct over time. Granted, a different dialect need not be the same thing as a entirely separate languages.
I think they had a lot of languages but they have chosen one as a global just like we might will choose English.
English is a very hard language to learn, but growing up with it is not a problem. So it would be hard for the generation at the time of the conversion, but the next should have little problems at all. I guess right now it's more of a popularity contest, so yes, English would probably be the global language.
Well, i actually never learned English in school or anything. I learned German and Russian and i picked English up while watching TV. So for me English was actually really easy to learn. Also, i never learned to write in English.
For that i actually used and still do use what i learned when studying German. =P

English is one of the the simpler languages. Easy to learn, but hard to master. As apposed to something like Mandarin which is just Hard all around. or Spanish which I would consider midline. Not the most difficult language but conjigation makes things way harder than they needed to be.

I have to disagree, English was the language I found to be the easiest to learn by far. French gave me much more of a headache, but I also didn't like how it sounds. Or the teacher. And Latin just seemed too useless to care much about.

It could be an option. If you don't want to see her face, pick "Not now, Tali, keep your helmet on." or something. I think more people would be disappointed if they never revealed how she looks, than if she doesn't look the way that some people imagined.
I for one know that I'd rather see her face, even if she's not stunningly beautiful.
Agreed, and since BioWare is the only entity with the authority to provide a canonized appearance of Tali's face, no one else's interpretation will do for me personally. I want...nay, I need to know the truth of what she looks like! Besides, as such a fleshed out character she deserves a face to become a complete character - attractive or not I would rather know that never know at all.

does anyone else feel tali and/or Shepard should have said i love you during the romance scene tho they didn't have to just thought it would be more special
Hm. Asides from the fact that I didn't get to see Tali's face though my Shepard did, I find the romance scene between Tali and Shepard incredibly well done. The body language, the nervous voice work, that moment that passes between them as Shepared finally removes her face plate and you see this look of pure..enjoyment..cross his face as reflected by the sparkle in his eyes and that ever-so-faint smile that crosses his lips. It's so brief and fine in detail that if you blink you miss it. Top marks to BioWare for creating a scene where nothing is actually said and yet it conveys some of the most potent emotions in the entire game. I'm not convinced hearing "I love you" would have fit that particular scene. I'd like to hear them say it to each other but not at that point. Give it a bit more time - ME3 anyone?
most likely

Mad Scientist experiments could somehow create a Quarian Human hybrid, but after all you'd be doing is creating a mule. A dead end road life form.
More logical for you and tali to have surrogate parents fill the other half or become adopted parents.

Yeah. Even if BioWare made Quarians ugly on purpose, I'd still prefer seeing her. I'd very much hate never finding out how they, and especially Tali herself, look like.

OK, let´s return to the English language.
I don´t know if Fist is in ME2..
You should not had Wrex in the team, or executed him yourself in Mass Effect.
Both of my chars do one of the things.
But it is an interesting idea, so anyone see him in ME2?
I disagree with you, Tali SHOULD show her face in ME3.
Fist is in ME2, in Afterlife, but he has no use, just a line of dialogue or two, nothing important.
Why?
It belongs to her character and if Bioware let us see her face in ME3, most of us will be dissapointed.
Don´t get me wrong, I also want to knwo, what she looks like, but I´m afraid that it does not fit with the picture we all have of her.
Thx, for the info on fist

I think she is beatiful under her helmet, otherwise Shepard wouldn´t smile so much and all the female main characters from Bioware looks good, so I´m not afraid, that she is ugly.
I have no problem, if she looks like this

I had English 9 years in shool, but i also learned a lot from movies and books.
My grammar still sucks eitherway ^^
