I can't get this out of my head. Grunt says that the Quarians aren't as squishy as other species. WHAT DOES HE KNOW WE DON'T!? I mean come on he was bloody born yesterday (literally) and yet he know more then us about the girl we love! What are they armor platted or something?

Maybe he means because of the suits?
Or maybe he's refurring to the Hanar. Can't get more squishy then jelly.

Yeah, I saw that in the comics catalog.  I'm not a figure collector, but I could actually go for that, but...

Even though I'm not a figure collector, I know that one thing to look for is how many points of articulation the figure has.  They've studiously avoided giving any detail on that in the description, which leads me to believe you might be able to turn the head or move the arms at most.

Non-posable figures kinda suck... :(

I think the two most logical conclusions are:

1. He's taking suits into consideration. Suits are essentially a part of a every quarian's physiology. You will never encounter a Quarian in a combat situation (which is what he's talking about) that's not in a suit.

2. Quarians have extra strong bones. This is supported because he brings up how easy it is to sever a human's spine, which is what leads to him mentioning that humans and other races are "soft"

It's also worth noting, that when he says Quarians aren't as "soft" as other races, that he's not talking about how their skin feels. In the context of this conversation, to him soft = how easily killed, not how they physically feel.

He's got memories imprinted by Okeer, who was old enough to remember quarians without suits (not that old, really).

There's a lot of debate on what it means, if anything.

It could be he's just refering to how they've always got suits on.

It could be they have some sort of plates, though they're known to have endoskeletons, so that's somewhat discredited.

It could be their spinal columns are tougher, or fused or something, since he's talking about severing spinal cords.

Nobody really knows.

Edit:  HA!  Beaten like a rented mule by the sergio...

Very good point but Reegers suit was punched through by a bullet. Then you talk to him about a full scale war and he says that they would get slaughtered. Not just the supplies but also their suits to begin with. The strong bones is a very good idea however, and I didn't consider it but I can't help but feel there is more to it.

It's an order, you must arrange it to be 3 2 1. The first block was part 3, second block was 1, third block was 2.

I wouldn't beat a mule.

I don't think Okeer would've imprinted pre-suit Quarian information into Grunt. That information is simply obsolete and useless to Grunt in current times.

Grunt taking the suits into consideration is probably the most likely explanation. Again, quarians and suits go hand in hand.

Interesting.

Tali's stated interest in going "skin to skin" also suggests that they don't have a tough or bony exterior.

Keep in mind that Grunt was talking about killing with knives, not guns.
