Check out my new forum "Hybrid child" in the general discussion forums! It explores the possibility of a human-quarian child!

there is no possibility, already been thouroughly discussed.

Sigh... why do people have to be buzz kills? Just let us enjoy our theories and keep your own to yourself

Mad Scientist experiments could somehow create a Quarian Human hybrid, but after all you'd be doing is creating a mule. A dead end road life form.

More logical for you and tali to have surrogate parents fill the other half or become adopted parents.

I've already cast my vote that shep and tali adopt legion and teach him the strange ways of organics and individuals

haha thats pretty good

Ah, come on, nobody will pick this option ^^
I think she is beatiful under her helmet, otherwise Shepard wouldn´t smile so much and all the female main characters from Bioware looks good, so I´m not afraid, that she is ugly.

If even you didn't pick that option, you can't be serious enough about not wanting to see her face. So, just join the light side, and help us push for a face reveal!

Wait...Considering that races in ME use translators to communicate, does that mean the Quarians are just about the only other race with other languages internally? Such as humanity has the French, the Russians, the Chinese, etc. So if the Quarians have different accents, that must mean they all speak in different languages to eachother as well...interesting. Unless that was in a Codex entry and that was a total waste of a post...

It is mentioned that some of the other sapient species have had different dialects in the past (ex. the Asari) but it seems they have died out and/or become amalgamated in to one singular language construct over time. Granted, a different dialect need not be the same thing as a entirely separate languages.

I think they had a lot of languages but they have chosen one as a global just like we might will choose English.

English is a very hard language to learn, but growing up with it is not a problem. So it would be hard for the generation at the time of the conversion, but the next should have little problems at all. I guess right now it's more of a popularity contest, so yes, English would probably be the global language.

English is one of the the simpler languages. Easy to learn, but hard to master. As apposed to something like Mandarin which is just Hard all around. or Spanish which I would consider midline. Not the most difficult language but conjigation makes things way harder than they needed to be.

Well, I don't have any troubles to understand english any more but I have a lot of troubles to write something that would be 100% grammatically correct (I mean that f*cking tenses (btw. how many tenses do english actually has?:D 10? 11? 12?), conditionals, ... and when use anything of that):innocent:

If you think about it, no language is really universally difficult or easy. For example, for a native English speaker, learning Spanish is generally a piece of cake, while a Chinese person may have a very hard time learning Spanish. But even when taking that into account, each person is unique, and one person may have an easier time with a language another. It's really all about perspective. But then again, I suppose most things are about perspective...

There's more than that, progressive stuff, perfect stuff and so on. I hated learning all that crap, and I don't play by the rules - I type and talk English the way it *feels* right, instead of thinking too much into it. And it works pretty well, most of the time.

Still, we should try and finish this discussion soon, so we can focus on Tali again.

Think about it as much as you'd like, but English definitely is easier than several other language. In English, you don't have to care much about an object's gender. It's just "the" all the time. In German and French, there's a distinction.

Additionally, you don't have to care much about capitalization.

Well 3 basic tenses divided to simple, continuous and perfect. That's at least 8 different tenses (Exept "future perfect" I didn't hear about tense like that but who knows :P)

We could probably sit here all day coming up with different grammar rules unique to different languages, but that doesn't change a thing that I said. Each language has its own difficult aspects. Not sure how you came to think that I was defending English or something.
