Grunt says Humans, Asari and Salarians are soft, but Quarians not so much, meaning they have tougher skin, but not as hard as Turians, cause with Turians you need to "work the blade,".
That quote could mean a lot of things -- for instance, referring to their suits.  It is very vague to be making assumptions about the texture of Quarian skin.
The ME Codex's say they're dextro-DNA (like Turians,).
Meaning what, exactly?
I hope you aren't insinuating that everything with dextro-DNA would have similar characteristics to Turians, because that would just be silly.
Legion says the Quarian homeworld's sun is older and more orange than Sol (our sun,). Also meaning it radiates more heat and radiation.
This is actually exactly the opposite of the truth.  A redder star emits LESS energetic radiation, bluer ones emit more.  A star whose peak radiation is in the yellow band would emit more UV radiation than a star whose peak color is shifted towards the orange or red.  It has to do with Wein's Law of blackbody radiation.  Color is directly related to temperature and peak wavelength emissions, and bluer stars are higher temperature, while redder stars are cooler.
So, skin-wise, they are tougher than humans, but not as tough as Turian plates. The picture doesn't say they will actually look like it, just skin-wise it's the best possibility.
None of the evidence you give really supports that conclusion in any particular way.

To be fair, this is the only time of the day that this kind of off topic discussion goes on.  The rest of the time is remarkably on topic for around 100,000 posts in I would say.

Someone went over the possible meanings of what Grunt said a little earlier in the thread, but basically your way of interpreting it isn't the only way.  Personally, I think he's referring to the suit, it's war data implanted by Okeer, and knowledge of how hard it is to stab through a quarian's spine without a suit is irrelevant.  He's definitely not referring to how tough the skin is, simply how hard it is to sever to the spine, so bone density would be a lot bigger factor than skin.

I don't think there is actually any evidence in the game or the books that suggests quarians having anything other than similar skin to humans is there?

Having the same amino acid chirality as turians won't affect how quarians look at all either.  Keep in mind that there are only 2 possible choices for all forms.  Humans, volus and hanar are all Levo (sp) chirality, and are nothing alike.

So, your saying we're soft, but Quarians are tougher cause they have they're suit? Would you perform an autopsy on a man who still has all his clothes on?

And if it was bone density Quarians would be larger than humans, they're almost equal in size. If they had more bone density they would propably not even fit in slim suits.

Why would Okeer implant data on how to do autopsies into Grunt's genes?  Of course you wouldn't do an autopsy with a suit on, but you don't take someone's clothes off to stab them.  Everything Grunt knows is to prepare him to fight.  And he simply will never fight a quarian without a suit.  Therefore, Okeer would either be wasting time explaining how quarians work without suits, or its implied that any situation will inherently involve one.

That is a completely nonsensical conslusion.
Higher density means packing more matter in the same amount of space.  If their bones were higher density then they would either be heavier at the same size, or their bones would actually be smaller because they need less bone volume to attain the same mass and strength.

Suits are basically part of the physiology if a quarian. You'll never encounter a quarian without their suit on, in a combat situation anyway. Thus, Grunt can never expect to fight a quarian who isn't wearing a suit.

No other race will always be in a suit (even Volus, they can at least safely not wear them in their native environment)

Well, I do sneak in once in a while and I'm quite impressed with all the rational and well-thought posts for such an enormous thread(in fact the largest I've seen). I just saw that went horribly disturbing, and I do not wish to see you guys get demonized even more, so I pointed that out.

The majority here are definitely against space elves.  I don't really see how people wanting her to be beautiful is a problem though
