Tali captured by the collectors and then killed, just when Shepard thinks he can save her. That would be just pure awesome.

Why? It's not like food is a huge part of ones life. Plus restaurants are used to serving Turians along with Asari, so it's not like night out on the towns will be problematic.

The only real long term friction I forsee is Children.
There is always adoption for that too.

I have to agree on the children part. Shepard may or may not want children but I know it's on Tali's mind. She did mention that she couldn't provide "certain things" if they were in a relationship. This probably would eat up at Tali unfortunately.

It is part of a Quarians duty to populate the fleet responsibly. She has always thought of the fleet before her own needs so what happens then? :?

Who is to say Shep wouldn't want children.  A paragon responce to Grunts says he doesn't want to do this forever.  Also I regard Tali's responce as she couldn't give him full physical contact, that her immune system would limit them....but I believe Tali loves shep enough that they would look past not having children.  Also what is to say they wouldn't adopt.

I'm a Tali fan and would burn cities to the ground if they ditch her for ME3, but I'm still a little weirded out by the talk of children and so on. The last thing I want from ME3 is simulated parenting, I live in fear of those days coming upon me as it is :P

If shepard is willing to suffer it, it'd work no problem.

Quarians already deal with such barriers as part of their everyday life, along with their relationships with their families.

So if Shepard is willing to abide by it, then it seems pretty natural that Tali wouldn't decide to just rock the boat about something she has to live with regardless if it's with Shepard or not.

"Time fixes all problems"

I have faith Shepard could tough it out. He's been shot in the head enough to enjoy the more peaceful confrontations.

I don't think it would eat her up much after the initial romance entry point which they past.

As for her duty, 1 child out of 17 million is so close to zero as to not even be mentioned. The fleet doesn't force reproduction on people. So the matter of children again is a personal one between the two of them. There are actually alot of solutions. Some on the standard and others involve a great deal of super science to perform.

There is adoption, of either or both a quarian and human child.
There is birthmother/father
Where shepard and/or tali reproduce with another of their species for the sole purpose of then adopting a half child of their partner.
There is also some wierd biological genetic manipulation of shepard's dna to be compatible with quarian.
Basically producing a quarian version of shepards genetic code.

There is also the next to impossible chance they could actually successfully procreate. I imagine human/quarian physical interactions have been exceedingly rare due to their isolated status and humans recent arrival to the galatic scene. And I do emphasis next to impossible.

plus i'm gonna get her homeworld back, so the population control will become unnecessary.

Personally, I can't see Tali as one who would like the idea of Adoption, and as for Shepard, he's been the Alpha for so long, even as a paragon, I would think he would want to see in some form or another his line continue.

It would really be sad if they did give "bitter sweet" endings like what they did in BG / DA:O and in the epilouge say " Shepard and Tali enjoyed several years being man and wife but in the end, Tali saw her duty as a quarian that she cannot stay childless. After the war with the Geth, more so then ever, every quarian female were asked to bear several children so that their numbers could be replenished. Shepard because of his love his wife, saw her pain and gently filed for divorce and rejoined the military. His last location is unknown."

I have a habit of not giving 2 ****s about epilogues that aren't happily ever after. If it's not happily ever after, just leave it blank.

Aribeth did not die
Viconia didn't get poisoned by Lloth

Just two immediate examples.

The alternative is just as bitter. Just in a different light.

"And so they lived out their lives among the stars until finally their sparks fluttered and passed, leaving behind nobody to carry on their noble names, now passing off into legend."

I hear what you are saying.
BTW, remind me, but I thought you could save Aribeth in Hordes right? I distinctively remember getting her back into my party and romanced her, or is my memory as selective as yours?

And speaking of Viconia, ya, in my mind she never died too. We did go back as husband, mother and son team to kick down gates in the underdark though.

She's dead and in hell. The you that romanced her isn't even the Hero of Neverwinter. It's the PC from Shadows of Undertide. The epilogue has her staying with you untill you eventually die of old age, she mourns, then passes into the planes to rejoin you. It's a great little story, except there is no ****ing way my Hero of Neverwinter let her die in the first place.

Good afternoon Lord_Moose.
