Other way round, saving the human colony and letting down the quarian one, what about Tali. What would she think. What about the other quarians. Seeing you beeing in a relationship with one of them, having serious plans and then such an action. Maybe Tali would get involved in that aswell, just like we saw in her trial about the geth parts. Also, Tali is loyal to her fleet and would do anything for her people.

So, what to do, difficult imo. Especially when loving an individual like Tali where rational thinking is as hard as it could be.

if i had to choose between a human colony and the quarian one, i'll choose the quarians because the death of all humans in the colony would not mean the end of a alien race.

Just thought I'd show you what the Quarians are based off of.

I'm pretty sure ME was released before Starcraft II was even announced. Which means that Quarians were around before this concept art was made/released.

The Protoss have been around on the internet since 1998?

Also, Starcraft 2 has been in the works since 2002,
Mass Effect wasn't started until 2004.

Starcraft 1 was out well before ME1 (back in the 1990s) and they had concept art like this back then. To be fair it is just a very new shiny version for Starcraft 2 (I know it is for a main character but it looks very simillar to old art none the less)

Tough one. Either way you're screwed and lose a civilization... But looking on the positive side, if you saved the Quarians Tali would be with you. I think I'd have to say to save the Quarians.

Can totally understand that, but should feeling really overwhelm your rational thinking in such a matter. This is where things get interesting, famous trolley dilemma.

To be fair you would loose your LI if the reapers won anyway.... so you either loose your LI to the reapers and win or you loose your LI to the reapers and loose

There is actually an additional scenario where Tali could die in ME3, according the war against the geth. If you don't try to find a peaceful solution and the quarians are shipping for war, Tali included, and you can't be on her side to watch over her it's unsure what will happen to her... trying to find a peaceful solution on the other hand side where there is no guarantee that there even is one and so letting the chance go getting the quarians a homeworld just to protect Tali - keep in mind that's what she really wishes, having a planet she can call home
