I did. In my personal ME story, she's been there with Shepard for the whole thing.

And in my latest ME2 playthrough, she's been there right after Freedom's progress too!

and i freakin wish you could get tali at the beginning of the game on the 360 version and not have to wait

No I meant Freedom's Progress. I have the PC version so I unlocked her and Legion right off the bat. I recruited Grunt, Garrus, Mordin, and Jack with those two.

She was in my squad every time, henche why I don't have all of the 'have so and so in your squad' achievements, and after playing ME2, I really don't think I could go back.
I feel like I should, though. I want to ditch any LI in the first game, and I need to fix a glitch. My Conrad says I put a gun to his face when I never did. That bugs me.

For the first playthrough I did, actually, but not in the subsequent ones because I was trying to get all the ally acheivements.  Of course, after I got them it was back to Tali

I mostly use her and Liara because I like their wide variety of powers (Liara especially is basically cheating), but I like to swap people out on a whim and for mission-specific ability sets. 

I've never actually gotten any of the ally achievements.  I hate that they're in the game, and I was glad to see them gone in ME2.  Why the hell would you want to limit someone's gameplay experience like that?

its not a limitation its just an achievment it isnt forced onto you lol
but achiements are to show what you did specifically on games its really not about the points so someone who gets on my gamertag would see for me1 quarian ally acheivment and kno i used her pretty much the entire game lol^_^

I wouldn't have cared about the party achievements except that they gave me bonuses to my skills, so I did them in a couple quick playthroughs.  I mean, I beat that game 10 or 12 times, so it's not like I was afraid I wouldn't get enough of Tali, lol.  I did ALWAYS bring Tali to the end mission with me though.

I replayed all of ME1 some time in Feb to do a no-romance + all side quests run. It was a little painful at first, going back to the old combat. I had also gotten spoiled by Tali's incredibly well detailed model in ME2. But it was worth it! 

Damnit shepard, instead of sitting in front of your locker before going to Ilos, why don't you head down to engineering?!

I read the story in the link in your signature...

There are two key ingrediants to a great captivating story.

First ingrediant is emotion. Its obvious you were feeling emotion about what you were writing about, and it was evident from the first word.

Second key ingrediant is command of the language. There were no mistakes with grammar, structure, style, spelling, or speed of thought. The descriptive words allowed a picture to be put in my mind, and masterfull use of words allowed sounds... even passage of time to go through. You expertly showed a "racing" of the mind as time slowed.

Give yourself a pat on the back, a grammar **** loves your story.

PS: If there were any errors, They escaped my eye, or at least didn't detract from the story.

I urge you, if you write a story... a full blown story, and publish it. Send me a message and I'll buy a friggin copy, you're good.

It took me five reads to get the spelling and grammar correct, and there is still one tiny error I need to fix, if I remember right. I still feel the need to go in and tweek the story, but I don't want to 'over-tweek' it and mess up whatever flow I might have had going when I first wrote it.

Anyway, thank you again and I'll tell you what; if this lazy butt of mine ever gets into gear and actully does think up a full origional story to write, then I'll send you a signed copy myself.

wow 10 or 12 times!?
evry one of my mass effect playthroughs take up like 60+ hours of play cause i usually do everything
ive done me1, about 3 or 4 times and me2 this is my 3rd play through with different gameplay cause i went back on me1 and did things differently

Even though it doesn't make an "technical" difference, when Tali says "I watched your face when Williams died" means so much more to me after ACTUALLY having Tali in my squad on Virmire. It's part of the RPG experience: doing things that don't really matter but have sentimental value to you.
