Honest Question:



Do you think there are other sentient life forms in the Milky Way galaxy that can reason, think, have emotions and different personalities.

Don't worry I suck at them too...but I feel that since we have to wait so long to get our happy ending for shep and tali (WHICH WE BETTER OR I WILL NEVER BUY I BIOWARE GAME AGAIN!!!!!) I would like to see someone develop a story that depicts a romance between a human and quarian from beginning to end if that makes sense.

I know it's sort of depressing, but FTL travel is likely impossible. Element Zero doesn't really exist, and the energy necessary to create a gravity well strong enough to bend space time in any significant manner is off the freakin' charts. Then don't even get started about creating some sort of "shielding" to protect a vessel from that massive gravity well. My hope is, through some sort of exotic particle research, we find a away to literally tear space-time a new a55hole, so we can just casually teleport to some different position in space-time. But if we could do that, we could travel through time too! /Mordin "Too many variables, too many variables!"



Here's to hoping all the scientists 100x smarter than I figure something out before I die though lol... or at least find away for me to live for a few centuries !

I think the universe is to huge not to have some sort of other life out there...and possibly like us.

Personally I imagine it would be alot like any other romance, someone finds something in someone they like, and that person finds something in return, and then they learn more about each other and all that jazz. The only real difference would be the suit, which in effect means that long distance romances would be very similar. Assuming of coarse they could both get over the whole different species thing

i think at the begin they would be worried about the species thing after it hits off i wont matter
as for the suit yea take time then eventually she become used to your bacteria

there has to be we can't be the only ones that just doesnt sound possible for us to be the only ones

@ Devout. its almost silly to think that we would be the only form of life that developed this way. assuming a belief in evolution of course. with the number of planets that could develop like earth, we kind of have to expect that a few might, heck even seemingly unhospitable planets could sustain life as well, just in different forms. So in short. yes i do think there are!

Yup. What makes us so special? Out of all the planets there has to be one like Earth with oxygen and such which probably has life forms too. Of course theres also a higher chance that there is something out there with arms and legs to say the least.

FTL is probably possible of course element zero doesnt exist but dark matter i believe is what scientist are looking at that might be the key its the matter of getting it and figure out how to use it then again there is any option fuision i believe might be the other one but that might be a key too once we figure it out

I always like the idea of the suit being a factor but at the same time You could write in a story arc about being torn between too races.  The quarians are very interdependant and that loyalty to the quarians would not leave the quarian.  It would raise many interesting issues in the relationship.

@ Darkwanderstorm yeah, the initial worrying about species, but after that, i cant see why it wouldnt just be a matter of getting to know the other person. same as any other romance.



There just might be a bigger hill to cross over at the start.

Anything could happen in the next 50 or so years so keep your fingers crossed fot the best. Also, along with the existence of other Alien life, I wonder how advanced they are and whether or not they are a people who have a interest in sharing/peace. If the galaxy is never ending wouldn't that mean that there are an infinite number of civilizations that are good/evil. It's topics and debates like this that make you really think.

Mixed feelings on that one. I believe there was, or is, or will be life in the Milky Way. The problem is what are the chances of life existing at the same time humans do? As long our history is, our existance is brief looking at it on a cosmic scale. So there maybe a time in the future when we will find ruins of other species, or they will find ours.  I hope they exist at the same time as we do, but just don't know.

well it wouldnt necessarily be a matter of good or evil, more of, xenaphobia, territorial tendencies. Natural things that happen even on our earth.
