I'm too tired and too busy to figure it out, but considering the ridiculous amount of pages we've logged, I wonder what percentage of the total forum posts were posts made on Tali threads?

The three threads combined add up to a little under 70k posts.  On this particular board, there are somewhere around 355k posts total.  So approximately 20% of posts on this board are in the 3 Tali threads out of the 10555 total.

Wow, 20% of ALL material on this thread has to do with Tali?  That means 1 out of 5 conversations are about Tali, and the rest are about every other character, game function, class, plot, or anything else.  That's nuts.

That assumes that the Tali thread is on topic 100% of the time...

Ok, assume it's on topic 50% of the time.  That's still 10% of all posts on one character, on just a single, small aspect of the game.  I'd say that's pretty impressive.

I have been a true troll on some forums in the past.

I infact, in a desire to educate my younger brother when he was new to the internet forum experiance, took the time to troll his forum.

Along the way of trolling it I explained to him in detail each step his friends would take to attack and defeat me. He was stunned as it all play'd out exactly as I claimed it would.


The downside of it was.....I kind of killed that forum and he didn't like me for it.


As for this thread. I'm not trolling it. I am a voice of reason and logic and callousness.
I am a tali fan, but incapable of being more then that. I don't love tali or even think saying such a thing makes sense. She is incapable of change, adaption, growth. We can't affect her ourselves and her interactions were not with us. I avoid fanfiction and don't really have much opinion of fan art. I do however approve of this thread and it's ability to encourage Bioware into ensuring Tali gets the necessary attention for ME3.

The way you present your opinion in some cases can be considered a kind of trolling lariet. No the mythical trolls that skalds sing of... but a lighter variety, a slightly lighter touch might be appreciated in some cases just my opinion.

I've spent enough time around other locations to know other True Trolls. Of course they have emotions, why would they spend time looking to get a rise out of people if they did not. The difference between True Troll's and morons is a moron is just being violatile and spraying angst around.

A true troll understands attention is attention and once they have it, they are granted a great deal more leeway to dictate the directions the post and forum/thread go.

Example. I post "TALI IS A **** LOL"
People respond negatively to my comment, they now have also gained a dislike for me. Which opens me up to provoking them into insulting me personally without me even bringing Tali back up. Those insults then allow me to manipulate the conversation in a number of ways.


It happened yesterday infact. The thread eventually exploded into a spam of PIC's of no real relevance to any conversation other then an US versus Them(trolls).

Agreed, but that's not to say one can't manipulate the manipulator... Like I said, it's all about finding the right buttons to push, some may be harder to find than others; but everyone has emotions, everyone has buttons. Even the most stalwart troll can be brought to his knees with the right leverage.

I don't get the garrus background

Yeah... i really need to write an explanation for that and make it work someday... its the background to a full drawing im doing, its a ruined city area, not unlike omega, on the right side (the blank wall) garrus will be sitting against it in full armor (like archangels first appearance)
