I don't Think i will ever play another class but Vanguard it fits me like good pair of jeans. I took the assault rifle from the Collector Ship to give myself another option for mid range fights
But we don't fight mid range.
Charge, charge everything. Shotgun and Charge.
All I ever use, once I get the ammo upgrade.

Does that two second invincibility after shields are downed count when they're downed by biotics? Many many times I've been hit by two shockwaves from the first scion pair you fight on Horizon, and died instantly.
Hmm, if they are the exception, they would be the only one.
I've tested the shield thing many times just to make sure I wasn't kidding myself.
I don't play on insanity anymore, not fun enough, but I don't ever recall that happening to me then either.
It's possible there are exceptions to the rule or bugs that prevent the invul period to apply.
But learning such tricks like this are a big part of hardcore gaming in FPS and Fighters, both of which I spend time learning and applying.

I like tali and drag her everywhere, but her only useful skill is Combat Drone.
AI Hack is far too limited in targets and effectiveness without pumping it up
And shotguns are the worst weapon in the game for squad mates to use.
Her shield drain, she doesn't get till fairly late and is worthless against collectors.
And she has low life.

Ooh boy, finally back with a normal internet connection and not my cell phone's.
Apologies for yesterday's spam, but for the cellphone to post something I must press "accept", which counted as a double post it seems.
Then I tried editing the posts and instead of editing, it posted new ones.
Conclusion: Just browsing from my cellphone and no replies from now on.
On-Topic:
Some hours ago, someone said what we thought about Tali in ME1 (or something like that).
Well, from the start I prefered her, because she had that personality that was missing from Ashley and Liara. I didn't like that she wasn't romanceable, so I went with Liara.
In ME2, it seemed like BioWare was already pulling our chains, with the launch trailer of Tali falling (and Shepard shouting her name), which probably gave most of us a fictional heart attack.
I didn't get the game fast enough, so I just did one search for Tali romance and I must have bumped on the wrong topic there, because it said it wasn't possible, so I was disappointed again.
When I got the game, I started playing normally, being nice to everyone (Paragon) and well, got close to Jack, then the typical "she wants to be more than friends" talk from Kelly about Tali.
Well, let's just say Jack didn't like the breaking up ("**** off!"), but too bad.
And yeah, liked it so much that we finally got a chance with Tali.
And I'm also wondering what she'll look like in ME3.

Hey guys, Tali question. Do we know if she was on the SR-1 when it got destroyed, or was she back on the flotilla? I assumed she was going to go back to the flotilla after the battle with Saren was over to complete her Pilgrimage with the data Shepard gave her. But I don't remember ever hearing anything for sure. There was a great fanfic letter of Tali to a dead Shepard where she was in a SR-1 escape pod, but I diddn't know if it was discussed anywhere by BioWare.
Joker said something about that.
I think she was on SR-1.

unfortunately you are pretty correct. but combat drone (in my opinion anyway.) is easily one of the most useful skills in the game. so that makes up for it a good deal. and while her powers are very specialized, she is the best at what she does. i wouldnt want anyone else with me to fight geth or mechs.

AI hacking is GREAT. it definitely saves many breakable objects in my apartment when i was doing tali's loyalty mission. in the room right before you find her father i just kept hacking one hunter and it killed everything, otherwise i absolutely couldnt get through that roomLareit wrote...

I know! What happened? In ME1 I gave Tali the HMWSG X with 2 Scram Rails and High Explosive Rounds X. She basically killed almost everything in 1 shot, it was crazy - an artillery battery with hips!. In ME2 she spends most of her time with the Carnifex for Armor penetration and range.
I disagrree about AI Hacking though. I think it's great.

Drone is very good, probablly is the best on insanity. It staggers any enemy regardless of their shield/armor/barrier level. Distracts Ymirs and Scions, interrupting the formers machine gun assault and disrupting the latters barrage cycle.
But lets not kid ourselves. Legion gets drone. Gets widow. Snipers are the best weapon for squaddies to use. Also gets Shield boost.
Legion is better then tali in every tactical way.

Btw, Legions Widow deals 43% less damage than Shepards Widow, ... making it more or less a M-93 Mantis rifle.
Besides, with Energy drain, Tali exceeds in taking out synthetics like hell!

i liked her from the start because i thought she was a ninja. and then her accent was really awesome. and then she started telling me about quarians and i found a new favorite race. i think though, in ME1 i really fell in love with teh quarians than with tali, because in retrospect, she really is a walking codex entry for quarians with unfortunately limited personality.Ghost Rider LSOV wrote...

When I first saw her in the alley in ME1, I thought she was some kind of spy at first.
And yeah, you are right on how well they fleshed her out in ME2 to make her more mature and all.
Edit: I get Garrus and Tali everywhere because they were my favorites in ME1 as well.
Garrus is just...badass and Tali because I like her so much.

QFT
In ME1 it was all about Liz Sroka's brilliant delivery. The writing for the character wasn't as fleshed out as in ME2, it was just like a codex entry on the Quarians, as you said. Though, I get a little lump in my throat every time I hear ME1 Tali say "Yes Shepard, do you need something?" She sounds so hopeful that he'll say yes and stay near her, but the plot had other ideas...

she and wrex had my favorite elevator convo, the one where wrex asks if quarians ever talk about creating the geth and she retorts with if the krogans talk about starting a stupid war that ended in their sterilization and wrex says "all the time"apotheosic wrote...
