You seem to be forgetting, one simple and universal truth:

They are of an alien race based on a different genetic make-up... Until Bioware tells or shows us exactly they look, everything is speculation.

Agreed, it's not really an expression Tali would ever seem to use, but the picture in general is just. . .there is no word for it, only the sound of drooling can truly define it's greatness.

Correct, I'm just supplying the 'probably-s', but they do share remarkable biological similarities to humans, and as of such it is a more logical path than others to assume their genetic make-up is similar to higher mammals. I'm not saying I know the truth, I'm saying I have an idea on the matter, utilizing some evidence found.
