Agreed. It's so easy to become emotionally attached to the characters because of their wonderful writers and voice actors.
Hence why I'm always on edge every time I play the sucicide mission. I know what to do, but I still can't stand to see anyone on my team die. (Well, except for one or two, who I shall not name so I don't insult anyone)
Seriously if Tali's character didn't have that amazing quality of writing and acting, then I wouldn't have felt so bad when she was killed.
But she did.
And I felt like crap.
For two days.<--- me for two days.
Imagine so. Shows in your FanFic. Very depressing. Happy my playthroughs all sucessful "No One Left Behind."

You'd rather die in shock from sucking an alien off, then death by bee? One of us is very weird, and I'm not so certain it's me anymore
I freaking hate bees. With every fiber of my being I hate them. O_O
And, TO BE FAIR, I made it perfectly clear when I came here that I was a weird, weird, weirdo.
Never in my life have I claimed to be normal.
So does this mean that I've out-weirded you?
It's a hollow victory, but a victory none-the-less.

One thing I don't think they will not keep current characters out of me3 (unless they died shame on you) the second game was about building up another team and we all know the second part of a trilogy always introduces new allies etc (look at starwars/startrek etc) so I know for a fact that they will have them all in me3. Also Bioware loves possible happy endings... and bioware always record more dialouge options than they will ever need.cannedcream wrote...
Your points are very well thought out and valid.
Stop it.
I was just going to say the same thing, Their a AAA game dev they make awesome games, They knew how hard Making the ME universe & Series would be after the first game, since they built all the games (yes even one) around Save game importing and making it your story.
they will have tali, aswell as every other romance, its going to be hard for them, but like I said, if they didnt want a challence then they wouldn't of based the games off of Save Importing, and making it your experience.
Besides if they ever need more time im pretty sure they can get up to an extra year, especially since EA knows that bioware would only do it if they had a good reason, and they frankly wont care because of how much Revenue ME3 will bring in... aswell as all of the book, Sound tracks, Action Figures, and maybe movies that will bring in LOADS of cash
So, Im not too worried about Tali not being in it (they also want to keep their fanbase happy)
Guys, guys, guys. Hold on. I wasn't trying to be a pesimist here. I wasn't trying to lessen anyones hopes either, All I was doing was picking out POSSIBLE barriers to our goal and proposing solutions to them. And even though I have high hopes for Tali I dont want to just rely on that. I was 90% sure after I beat ME1 that Id be able to continue my Liara romance. It just seemed the natural thing to do and I couldn't seen reason why they wouldn't. However that obviously didn't happen. At the same time I remember going on the boards back in the day and going into the ME2 wishlist thread. I remember almost every single post had a request for romance continuations in ME2. So all Im left wondering now is "Why didin't it happen in ME2?" Dont get me wrong, I far prefer tali than a continuation with Liara. In my original post I stated that I only took Liara because I couldn't get with Tali. However it just puts in my mind that there had to be some reason why this feature was not included in ME2, when there was clearly such a strong desire for it.
Now could it be that they were just waiting to bring back the whole cast in ME3 and do the continuations then? Absolutely. And I hope thats the case because then everyones happy. But I just wanted to pick out any reasons that the same thing that happened in ME2 might happen in ME3 and provide possible solutions to those problems that would sitll allow us to get to our goal. Again Im sorry for raining on anybodys parade. That was definitley not my intention. In fact pretty much the opposite, I wanted to alieviate any doubts. Anyway again, thanks for reading.

Okay everyone, don't know if this has been discussed in here yet but I was just thinking about the causes Bioware may have for not putting Tali in ME3 or at least not making her romance-able and the only thing I can come up with is this:
Normally when Bioware puts in the romance options they have to record at least 2 different dialogue trees. One involving the romance and the other just friendly (for those who chose a different option or have a female Shepard). If they were to give Tali another go in number 3 and allow you to continue that relationship to a higher level than they would basically have to record 3 completely different dialogue trees. One for friendship, one for first time romance (people just playing ME3 and not continuing from 2) and one for continued romance. That's a lot of dialogue to give to a character and would require quite a bit more work to put it into the game.
...
Perfectly valid point.
But it would still be utterly stupid if they rendered the events and choices of ME2 meaningless by cutting all the new love interests.

just over all i wish there was more stuff to do with quarian's
paragon shep is like the best friend of the Quarian's .. so i dont see why they would not allow him to come back and say hi ...if he spends money there and brings back tech he finds it would be worth what ever it cost to clean the ship so that it was safe....
what do you guys think?

Curse you and your ability to make right decisions.
The bios threw me off! Miranda said we needed someone with experience. The 'experence' was RIGHT THERE in Samara's bio.
Miranda does nothing but give you crap advice that entire time.
