I never understood why people always say they couldn't pick the bottom option on "full renegade" playthroughs.  Of course you wouldn't, you would pick the intimidate option.  The way I see it, that option is just there to complete the situation.  Some people want to do playthroughs where they're jerks to everyone, some (insane) people don't like Tali.  You can be fully renegade and still not alienate your entire team.

I'm pretty sure the intimidate option gives you more renegade points anyway.

Once I go renegade, can't go back...

That's my situation.  I was always paragon in ME1.  Can't escape the renegade playthroughs for ME2 now.  Renegades get a bad rap for the most part.  You can still be nice to everyone who deserves it, and still be able to resolve all situations throughout the game.  The only difference is that the intimidate dialogue is so much better than the charm dialogue.  Only exception I've found is the Tali/Legion fight, but it's just as easy to side with Tali and reconcile with Legion.
