Well, there is a Captain Mal in the Migrant Fleet. He's in ME: Ascension, as well as contacts Shepard personally if you do the quarian survivor anomaly mission, because they were part of his crew. Now if they just got Nathan Fillion to voice him in ME3, that would be sheer win...

Sadly, I haven't read Ascension yet.

I did not dislike any of the squadmates, the closest I got was Zaeed, though he is a walking reference for Firefly and I could never hate Firefly. I had this whole "You're part of my crew." thing running.

Actually, Elanos Haliat was suppose to be turian. He was accidentally given a human skin. Therefor, I'm blaming the Blitz on the turians.
