Is anyone SERIOUSLY having problem with an image like that? Consider it disrespectfull? Well in that case I think you should at least start drawing a line between reality and video games, because this is becoming weird...

As sweet as that moment is, you have to rememeber that her father died.

I remember when I first did that mission and I saw her dad I thought it was just another Quarian and I was laughin like "Oh another dead Quarian"
Then shes like "father!" and I was like...

It would have been funny if there was an initial dialogue option of "Hey look another dead Quarian!" just to really make you feel terrible when she yells "Father!" I'd never take that option now though, knowing who it is. Seeing Tali sad is heartwrenching.

Yeah really everytime when I redo that mission Im like...Imagine if Shepard had said to Tali what I said to myself during my first run.

Shepard was definitely thinking that when he just walks up to him and stares. Liz's VA on that mission my goodness, Susan Sarandon would be proud.

I posted this last night, and there was a surprising amount of people who had never seen it. So I figured I'd repost it.

It was a short story written by Patrick Weekes, one of BioWare's writers, in an old Tali thread, regarding Shepard trying to find an xmas gift for Tali.

i can imagine shepard's first christmas with tali onboard being really awkward. first he gets a box of chocolates for his little shotgun-toting engineer buddy, but then garrus mentions that quarians are amino-dextrous, so the chocolate would kill her.

shepard then remembers her love for both tech and shotguns and ponies up for the best shotgun on the market, along with anti-synthetic ammo mods. he drops by wrex to have him check them out, only to have wrex mention that during one of their elevator rides, tali mentioned her pride in her tech and salvage skills, such that she'd rather make weapons than buy them, and would never like a purchased weapon for a present. wrex then adds that that's an awfully big box of chocolates, and wrex would be happy to hang onto both it and the new shotgun while shepard figures out a new gift for tali.

at this point, shepard says "screw it!" and gets her a gift card at omni-gel emporium. just as he's about to sneak it into tali's stocking (one of six hung up over the galaxy map, one of two with the big toe-sleeves, and the only toe-sleeved one that doesn't have "garrus vakarian" stitched on it, with "spectre" stitched under it and then crossed out with "c-sec officer" stitched under that, in turn also crossed out with "galactic bada" stitched at the bottom and clearly not quite finished in time for christmas), shepard hears joker laughing about the system they've just passed, which has survey teams selling planetary rights to barely habitable worlds for cheap. and shepard remembers tali's stories about what happened with the geth, and how her people are homeless, driven from their world.

in the morning, as they all gather in c&c to unwrap presents, tali is confused by the wrapped box that contains nothing but a card... until she realizes how hard it is to wrap a new homeworld.

(liara is, by the way, really touched by shepard's thoughtfulness in getting her that omni-gel gift card.)

But based on what Azint wrote that her father just died it's not really funny or cute. If it were MaleShep it wouldn't exist!

EDIT* Tali's cryin here saying "damnit, damnit" btw.

im saying the chartoon it self is funny and cute not the situation
its not serious in anyway. and in reality itd be majorly inappropriate
but its just a funny little comic no reason for people to get worked up over it.
im not gonna keep posting it i just thought itd be funny for some people who havnt seen it
everyone needs to remember it is JUST a game not any real life situation:blink:
