Haha, it was the same for me.  I religiously avoid spoilers for games that I KNOW I want to buy, so I had no idea that anyone even suspected a Tali romance.
When Kelly informed me, I was like

Then when Tali said she wanted to show me her face, I got so giddy with anticipation that I burned through the rest of the game immediately.  Then the scene finally came, and... NoOOoOoOOOOooOoo!!!
Haha ah well, hafta wait for ME3 I guess!

Again, if you haven't heard FemShep's romance dialogue, you don't know how much appreciation Meer deserves. 

By the way, I hope Bioware throws us a bone and throws in "Dem hips" as a line in ME3..by either Shepard or Tali...it'd be so out of context but funny.

You guys gotta stop making creepy looking male sheps, or stop using the default face if it's creeping you out.  Create a face that strikes a balanced: not to mean as to be insensitive, and not so happy and smiley as to say "I want to rape you" to every person he meets

I never use default Sheps, and honestly my maleshep looks pretty normal, IMO.  I've never been able to make a face that looks normal while smiling except with the female Shepard.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.  I always loved her personality, not to mention I think she is perfectly proportioned IMHO.  But, yeah, I was stoked to see her as an LI.

So.  If it was up to you, there would be no female avatar in Mass Effect at all.  Female players wouldn't be able to have a character to identify with... because you don't like the voice actress?

I like to think of character traits for my Shepards.  This Shepard was a "follow orders and complete the mission at all costs" guy.  So in the trial, he revealed the information because he thought it wouldn't be right to withold the information from the Quarians just because one of them (Tali) would feel bad about it; sacrifice for the greater good.  Of course, I as the player felt really crappy about it and wanted to load my game, lol.

Anyway, made the Tali romance even sweeter the second way through, not just because it was a surprise, but that I had a chance to "atone" for my previous playthrough.

i felt soooooo shafted by bioware when only my shep got to see her face....
lol but ya hopefully they show us her face in me3
