I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.  I always loved her personality, not to mention I think she is perfectly proportioned IMHO.  But, yeah, I was stoked to see her as an LI. 

Even if the hands and the feet are different, everything proximal from that is A-OK in my opinion.  She's be competing for Miranda in the body competition if Miranda didn't have a thinner, tighter suit, lol

I approve of this topic. Besides Asari, it seems there are a lot of 3 fingered aliens, so after 150 hours of ME2 I feel like humans have too MANY digits. In reality it's obvious I've just been playing too much Mass Effect

My favorite role of hers is still Bastila from KOTOR.
And I still prefer MaleShep.

I loved her as Bastila, and my inability to play femshep is entirely my fault, her VA was awesome.

Hale is good -- I didn't think so at first, though, I had to play her a bit.  Her deeper voice makes her sound a bit monotone until you get used to her subtle inflection, and even then some of her lines are a bit monotone.  Meer is never monotone, but he more often has lines that are delivered a little awkwardly.

People rip on Meer a lot, but honestly they both do a good job in my estimation.  Each of them has lines that they deliver perfectly, and some that they don't do so good with.

The only thing that bothers me about the female Shepard VA is when she picks up a new piece of researchable tech.  "WE CAN USE THIS!!!!" is about seven decibels louder than anything else she says.  It startles the hell out of me every time.

I'll be brutally honest: to me Fem Shep sounds like a lesbian. I don't expect most of you straight guys to find her voice as comforting as I do; or to like her character as much as I do.

First of all: Female Commander Shepard is not a real person.  Second of all: You have the option, while playing Mass Effect, to never hear even one line of her dialogue. 

So, you know.  Don't play as female Shepard.  Your position seems to be (charitably): "I don't like it, so it shouldn't exist, even though I don't ever have to have anything to do with it if I choose not to."  Which is childish and stupid.

I'm not gay so my perspective is limited, but I don't see it as being "lesbian":  I think it's just tough.  Someone who has grown up fighting and being in the military, being around mostly men, is going to act tough and talk like a guy.  A lot of straight chicks I've met that are in the army talk like that too.  Of course, a person with this type of upbringing could be a lesbian.

I love Meer's VA after so many playthroughs I feel a bit of anger if anyone rips on him since there's no way any critic can do better, so I technically should shut up about Hale as well (except that Peri Gilpin has a way sexy voice that I would prefer).

It also helps playing FemShep if you pretend she's Ripley from Aliens.

Anyways back on topic jeez, Tali would be ashamed.

Well, two things.
First, does Ascention ever say that Miranda specifically was involved in any of those projects?  Because it may be reasonable to assume that she didn't know the full extent of the programs.

Second, even if she did know, Cerberus is, sadly, the closest thing to family that she has.  Because of the nature of the relationship with her father, TIM is the only person she had to look up to, despite the fact that he uses her like a tool.  Of course she is invested in the idea that Cerberus has good objectives, if she didn't believe that she would have no one.  Even so, by the end of ME2 she comes to terms with the fact that TIM is a megalomaniac who doesn't really care about her, and commits herself to Shepard.

So is she always on the side that I agree with?  No, but I also don't think it is difficult to have empathy with her situation, and to extend a bit of patience because of it.
