But... why not the pounce?   Like you said, Shepard's actions are the same, whether it's a female or male Shepard.  Why shouldn't Tali fall as madly in love with female Shepard as she does with her male counterpart?

Because that fact is now canon. To change it would be against canon. Just like Kaiden and Ashley are heterosexually canon. 
And besides, there ARE mods if the pounce is what you're looking for, there's hardly any dialogue with Shepard in that anyway, but I know it's not just about the pounce  And it's JMHO but if it were changed in ME3 or as DLC I'd feel like they were wh*ring Tali and Thane around in a "Let 'em at her" attitude...kinda what put me off about the Asari...

I'm not so sure about the canon though.  If what people are saying is true and Tali's saying things like "I got better, I got you" to femshep and implying about linking suits with her, I see the potential for her having an interest in femshep.  I agree with your argument: it would be too weird to make Garrus or Jacob or Thane gay, because they all have very straight, non-suggestive conversations with male shep.  Talis sound pretty suggestive though.

A group would probably be better than another thread since we already have a thread that includes most all conversations about Tali.  I'm just brainstorming though: if it happened, someone else would have to start it besides me.  I just don't have time to manage a group and get keep people interested while I'm in school. I really should be asleep now anyway: I have to get up in 4 hours to work at the hospital, lol

Actually last I heard NASA was planning a lunar base. although its not really what id consider a 'base' more like a mobile home in space. Actually pretty lame looking. but hey what do I know about how to build a base on the moon.

Like I said before. If I got a BFF vibe from Tali that would have been fine, but her dialogue is really not that different from the dialogue she has with her beloved MALE shepard. SHeesh

It's just sexual preferance.
I mean, I've had some really great guy friends in my life who have really gone out of their way for me at times, but I've never wanted to pounce them. Now, if it had been a girl who had done the same then, yes, there would have been pounceing.
Probably followed by sueing, but the point is: Tali seems to be strait and simply not interested in women.
I don't make the rules. If I did, the FemSheps could have all the Tali they could handle.

Sorry, but the only reason Tali seems to be "straight" is because she is only romanceable by a male Shepard in ME2.  She has lines addressed to femShep which are overtly romantic, and there is a precedent for characters who were not romanceable in a previous ME title to be romancable in the next (Tali, Garrus, obvs.).  Tali never, ever says that she isn't interested in ladies.  In fact, she suggests the opposite in some of her dialogues.

Omission is not proof, by any standard.

Also, why is there such a hard line in this thread against a female-romanceable Tali?  It's not like it affects your game, gentlemen.

Just join the Fight for the Love group... easier to fight for multiple romance situations than one

It is about canon, though. Kaiden is not gay because of what almost happened. Bioware fully planned on making Tali a LI for both sides just like Thane was, but since it's not in the game now it would feel cheap for them to change their minds.  If they had added it to ME2 instead of scrapping it there would be no problems whatsoever. Still dk why they'd go through the trouble.

Like I said before. If I got a BFF vibe from Tali that would have been fine, but her dialogue is really not that different from the dialogue she has with her beloved MALE shepard. SHeesh

I get what you're saying.  If they didn't want to imply an attraction between Tali and femshep, they should have added some different, heterosexual convo lines like they did between male shep and the other male party members.

Actually some of the people there are starting subgroups to rally for the inclusion of specific same-sex LIs. Most recently a Kaidan x Male Shep one sprang up; good times. Anyway, more than a handful of ladies are talking about starting a Tali x fem Shep group, we'll see. Look forward to you joining 1490, if you still wanna. :happy:

Patch it!  They apparrently have the dialogue done anyway, just unlock the files!

No, working in a hospital is not like scrubs.  You very rarely ever talk to anyone else unless it's patient-care related because you're always overstaffed.  The environment is much more professional, especially when you're talking to patient you need to hold a high standard.  I mean, it would be cool if it was like scrubs, would definitely make clinical days more interesting - but no.
