As Tali herself says "We have to think of others all the time." They might be very enthusiastic physically, but I doubt they want to wake their neighbors, all 30 or so of them.

I do believe water can make a fine sould isolator. So next time Normandy is in the port we might see something like this:

Shepard: Hi, I would like to buy additional  aquariums for my cabin. How large? You know, large enouoght to cover the walls in there... like the one I bought last time, only this time I need 3 more.
Operator: Very well commander, they will be installed today. You have grown fond of marine life, I see.
Shepard: Yeah, well...it's my girl...she...um...likes loud colored tropical fish
