Oh, good, I'm not the only one. BW really did a great job with Tali's script and character, and Liz Sroka did a superb job fleshing her out; it's no wonder people are fawning over her! (Tali, that is, not Sroka  ) On several occasions I've said to myself, "Gorram it, Tali, why are you so frakking incredible? And why aren't you real? And why can't I meet someone that is just like you, but without the whole proteins-of-reversed-chirality problem?!"

And yes, Tali's character has something about it that is absolutely amazing.
Plus she's an engineer:wub:

Could that make them a good Ally Race to the Quarians? They live well in close quarters, they use cast off technology, all they need is sufficient training to be able fighters/technicians. No one gives them a chance.

They're violent, which likely wouldn't work with the frail Quarians.
