As I said, feel free to just skip over my posts entirely, if you find them too long.  No harm, no foul.  I don't expect most of the denizens of this thread will read my posts (in their entirety, at least) and don't hold a grudge.  I begin to get preturbed though, when someone comments on a post they have not read in full.

I basically see it like this.
Imagine someone was in the middle of a sentence and trying to express their view, but someone else cut them off mid-flow and said "I wasn't actually listening to what you were saying just now, but I feel suitably informed enough to somehow predict where you were going with this and will now add my two cents."

If someone did that to you more than once in a real life conversation, no jury in the world would convict you of the battery charges for beaning them a good one.

I've actually done that several times in real life... But my friends have a bad habit of repeating very boring stories... <_<

Every person on the internets who has ever typed "tl;dr" has said that.  However they've said it in a manner that is not only insulting, but cowardly, as they escape the inevitable beatings that would result were they to nut-up and say it to someone's face while away from the keyboard.

... I said exactly that to my gf a few days ago.

She was pissed about it and i don´t know why. I than had to told her what she wanted to say and it even doesn´t helped that i was right
