Dang.  I just finished my Super-Paragon (Tali deserves no less!) ME1 playthrough.  For all it's annoyances, it's still such a great game.  I decided to romance Ashe.  I know it sounds weird, since Tali is gonna be my main galactic gal, but I figure this:

the devs have said that romance choices, and if you stay loyal or not to your ME1 LI, will have an effect on ME3.  Any sort of tension between characters is gonna be a game mechanic that I don't want to miss.  If I  had skipped a LI in ME1, I feel like I'd be losing out on something in both ME1 AND ME3.  

I like Ashe, she's a real person.  Something about Liara always struck me as a little shallow.  But I figured that having a Human Soldier/Human Soldier romance made the kind of story I was looking for in ME1.  

At any rate, I'm excited to import this Shepard to ME2, and get some Talimancing going on.  She capped Saren in the head (just to make sure), and now it's time to squash some collectors.

I still dont under stand why they gave my baby a shotgun even though she has low health and weak armor.  It makes no sense at all.  Oh well that is why I changed things up a bit and gave her a long range weapon.

I disagree. She may have naturally weak HP and armor, but of all the squaddies with shotguns, she dies the least except for Grunt. I increase her health to maximum immediately cuz I'm on Insanity, and she really does have good combat AI. In fact, I'm now with Tali and her shotgun and Garrus with his sniper. Garrus is the one dying all the time, it makes no sense.

Just wanna repost this for fun cuz it's how I feel when finally talking about Quarian government in ME2 just like in M1E1

I dont know about that.  I keep Tali as a strong support character in this game because of Chikkita and AI hacking.  Chikkita keep the whole crew alive but I found that direct control over her actions was the best way to go for me.  Get in this spot and use this power at this time.  She never seemed to notice when she was getting hit so I would just pull her away from direct fighting.  I just wish she could hack the heavy mechs.  On insanity they are a beast for real.

Well anyone with a shotgun is going to run up and get killed. I meant that Tali's AI is really way better than Miranda, Jacob, and Jack's AI, who seem to like to stand on top of boxes that have no cover (Miranda's the worst). And on Insanity you simply can't let your squaddies do their own thing, so considering that you control their every move, she has good AI. 

I must agree then.  There were a lot of times others would just stand in the open and start shooting without cover and just die instantly.  I actually wish you could play this game online some times because human co op would rock in this game.  If nothing else it would make insanity a lot more playable.

Happiness in Revan is about as probable as me not being a hornball...

It always came off as so wrong for Tali to just casually shot a corpse in the head.



The only times i've seen Tali do it is when I took Liara with me. Garrus, Ashley, Wrex all took precedence over her.
