plus 90% of people claiming to be vegitarians just opt out of eating meat and instead replace it with junk food and crap..
but what they dont seem to realize is 90% of junk foods have animal fats in them which is technically against vegitarians

As for cannibalism, it's taboo to us. I couldn't imagine eating a manwhich because the thought of a naked human male being skined and turned into hamburger meat is a little unpleasant. And a womanwich would make me sad at the lost of a hot chick.

Seems rather hypocritical to me. You can say the exact same thing about other animals. I can't stand the idea that some animal was skinned and died a painful death just so I can have a meal, when I have obvious alternatives.

But do I feel it's wrong when a shark or alligator or python or wild dogs,etc,etc eat a human? No, we're animals and we're meat to them. It's fine.

Those animals don't have a means to eat anything other than meat. Even then, they seem to lack the intellectual capacity for genuine empathy and morality, but humans don't.

They're not sentient is exactly the point. Who cares? My cat spends 12 hours a day, that i'm awake for, sleeping. The other 4 are a mix of cleaning, eating, or just sitting and staring. He's completely fine and dandy with this. I tell him he's going to die in less then 10 years. He's never going to have sex. He's never going to have children. That I will probably just throw him in the garbage after he dies and move on. Does he give a damn? No. He's a cat, he doesn't know or care.

So why be sympathetic to farm animals who live similar easy lives, eating, sleeping up untill we drive a hammer pistol through their head and kill them quite painlessly.

Again how can you say them going extinct isn't an issue if you are trying to show emphathy towards them. They're animals. They're not sentient, they don't have complex feelings. There is no point towards compassion towards a cow. Yet if we stop eating them, they can not and will not survive. Cows will all die. Chickens might do a little better if it wasn't for the fact stray casts would(and do) annhilate chicken populations. Pig's are no better off. That's 3 species your empathy would kill off.

I bring up health and taste purposes because those are the reasons we consume them. They're valid reasons. We don't raise and kill cows for the hell of it. We benefit from it.
