I wouldn't kill Kal in either scenario. Sure, emotionally I'd be extremely upset and vicious thoughts of vengeance and suffering would be swirling around my head yet despite my more primal instincts I do not accept that I am wholly bound to them. My rational being has a say and experience has taught me that more often than not insane/violent jealousy and possessiveness comes back to bite you if you let it lead you around by the nose. Be at peace with yourself and what you stand for. There is no need to act like a despot yet that does not prohibit standing up for yourself and fighting (not necessarily physically) for the things or the person(s) you care about.

In the first scenario I'd bring the topic of Kal's interest up with Tali to determine her reaction. Since I believe a genuine and mature romantic relationship must fundamentally be based on trust and affection, I would expect that she would not be tempted by Kal although she might find it flattering that another finds her attractive. That's okay as long as she makes it clear that her affections and loyalty lie with me and our relationship comes first without hesitation. If she wasn't sure whom she wanted to be with I'd inform her she would have to make up her mind shortly since I don't appreciate not knowing where I stand with a person I'm attracted to when it concerns matters of the heart.

In the second scenario I probably wouldn't do much of anything provided I was convinced Tali was loyal to me and our relationship. We all have a past and I'm pretty sure Shepard hasn't avoided sexual activities with other people in the past. I know I haven't and thus it would be hugely hypocritical of me to come down like a house of bricks on someone else for having told me whom they lost their virginity to. Granted, if she told me she slept with a large number of people that might put me off (and perhaps to some extent also depending on what was done,) yet that is not the case in this scenario.

For the record, Tali clearly stated she'd never trusted another quarian enough to link up suit environment with him, which is clearly a prerequisite to losing virginity. Therefore, if she suddenly told Shepard she did it with Kal, it could only mean that she had either lied earlier, or cheated on Shepard behind his back.
Tali would never do either. She's honest and respects and trusts Shepard enough to be open about everything with him; a revelation like that could never come from her. If she ever chose to end the relationship, Shepard would be the first to find out, tactfully and gently.

How old's your dictionary? I'm pretty sure that's been the definition for more than the last century. 

It only say that  Simpleton is one who is simple.

Calling someone simple often carries the connotation that one is simple in the had (i.e. stupid, foolish, etc.) in the English language.

If your intention was to declare that my tastes and desires are simple that is a viable way to use the term "simple" without automatically being offensive, however I reject such a declaration on your part in regards to my own persona.
