We all have a past and I'm pretty sure Shepard hasn't avoided sexual activities with other people in the past. I know I haven't and thus it would be hugely hypocritical of me to come down like a house of bricks on someone else for having told me whom they lost their virginity to. Granted, if she told me she slept with a large number of people that might put me off (and perhaps to some extent also depending on what was done,) yet that is not the case in this scenario.

For the record, Tali clearly stated she'd never trusted another quarian enough to link up suit environment with him, which is clearly a prerequisite to losing virginity. Therefore, if she suddenly told Shepard she did it with Kal, it could only mean that she had either lied earlier, or cheated on Shepard behind his back.
Tali would never do either. She's honest and respects and trusts Shepard enough to be open about everything with him; a revelation like that could never come from her. If she ever chose to end the relationship, Shepard would be the first to find out, tactfully and gently.

How old's your dictionary? I'm pretty sure that's been the definition for more than the last century. 

It only say that  Simpleton is one who is simple.

Calling someone simple often carries the connotation that one is simple in the had (i.e. stupid, foolish, etc.) in the English language.

If your intention was to declare that my tastes and desires are simple that is a viable way to use the term "simple" without automatically being offensive, however I reject such a declaration on your part in regards to my own persona.

Even in lifestyle I don't think many people would enjoy being referred to as "simple"... Just look at how everyone feels about Jacob and his cardboard personality... People cherish complexities, not "simpletons"
