It will probably depend on your actions whether he succeeds or maybe even decides to do it or not.

Well, when you truely love someone you want the best for him so if she wants to be with Kal I would let her go. I would be upset  but would let her go. But I would still care for her and protect her if she needs it. <3
And if she chose me then I will be very (I really don't know if I would be able to write all these "very" ) happy and hope Kal will understand and respect her choice. If don't and still would try to get her I would have to "talk" to him.

Depends on how much DLC they release. If they release as much as Bethesda did for Fallout 3 than I could see it as a possibility.
