I still would have liked to have found a way not to butcher the female leader of the guards ther; she seemed like a good person and a good soldier who unfortunately followed the wrong man.

If you surrender to her you will run into her right before the Land's Meet. Take the right dialogue options and you can have her stand aside instead of having to kill her.

Personally I usually play as a warrior thou and her 2h sword is just awesome so more often than not I kill her... lol Unless I took the time to buy the Chasind Great Maul from the dwarf in the market, thats the best 2h hands down cause of the armor pen

There is a way to do both. When you first meet her prompt her to fight. Kill her first and loot her really fast but then stop and let the other guards kill you. Youll be thrown in jail and she'll come back later where you can talk her down.

There was some speculation about that in the previous thread. Some hypothesized that Miranda was dominating as "queen bee" on the Normandy, as well as perhaps showcasing a more voyeuristic side of herself.

No, I think Miranda just saw Shepard going a lot to engineering and thought he likes the place. Too bad she didn't realise he was going to talk to Tali about random stuf and hear her voice...

No that isn't it at  all. That must be after you just say you're interested. Not after you walk down to teh drive core. Mine was waaaay worse than that, and yes she rages at you.        

Are you able to record the scene and post it on YouTube? I'd be very interested in watching that.

Sorry, I have 360 the closest I could get would be to write down the dialogue.....

I actually see Miranda and Tali being in ME3... along with Ash/Kai, Garrus, Grunt, Wrex, Liara, etc.
the only ones I don't see moving on would be Thane (Thane is awesome... but... he's dying), and Mordin (Best character ever--second to Tali. Why'd they make him old!?!)...

Miranda is loyal to TIM though, and if you went with paragon option at the end of ME2 that'll be pretty awkward. Not to mention shes a b****. TBH if I could figure out how I could have figured out how to have gotten her, Jack, and Zaeed killed w/o loosing any of the others I woulda done it.

If you bring Miranda along as one of two team members against the final boss and she is the one that dials TIM through, she renders her resignation to TIM right then and there via the omni-tool display.

Interesting, that didnt happen for me my first time through, I brought mordin and of course tali with me. Still I never really liked her. I'm too much of a paragon at heart and she has been party to too many truely horrid things while working w/ cerberus for me to care about her.

When you are taken to Fort Darkon after freeing Queen Anora. You have to pick two compaions to bust you out (or bust yourself out) Similer to KotOR when you're captured by the Levathen.

LoL i liked my sword and board warrior there too, I had just enough points to get Indomitable from the 2h school also. Its an actual activated mode that makes you immune to knockdown. Awesome for a tank

Miranda is a turn-off. A little self absorbed. I hear she thaws at the end of a Para run, but I missed it. For that battle I want 'people' there that I felt some attatchment to. She wasn't it.

I don't hate her or Jack, but not only are they not terribly likeable they project "needy" so brightly you can see it from orbit. Being with them isn't a relationship, it's another career. I've been with a Miranda and it was the most emotionally exhausting relationship I've ever had.

They need Shepard to fill deficiecies in themselves.

She doesn't need him. Tali WANTS Shepard. Huge difference. She gives solid reasons for wanting to be in his life. Add to that sweetly shy, giving, selfless and you have someone it'd be hard not to love.

She's the girl a Paragon Shep would be proud to have and one a Renegade would work to begin to be worthy of.

Nicely written, deftly acted. She just works.

And of course, she needs to be a squaddie and LI in ME3. No little throwaway cameos, please.

Well stated, IMO. I don't mind Miranda but for me it felt more like "just a sex thing" with some attraction but not genuine love. Jack...I didn't finish the very end of her courtship but did watch the love scene and it is very moving emotionally as well - almost equal to Tali's. However, Tali is in my mind precisely the way you describe above and it makes a world of difference. *sigh* Tali'Zorah vas Normandy nar Rayya. <3
