To be clear: I agree with the Illusive Man this time. The Collectors needed to be stopped, and that base would be an extremely useful tool in the coming days. This was one topic I was genuinely torn on. I would have handed the location and all the data I could over to the Council as well, just so Cerberus doesn't get the edge TIM's hoping for. This way, the galaxy would be far better armed than the Reapers would expect, giving us an edge.

Those Quarians are just messed up. Enslaving Synthetics for labor, then trying to kill them off for no good reason.

No one in the Mass effect universe is perfect, the quarians created something that could've rebelled so so save their own species they tried to remove them, unfortunately losing.

Synthetics are not organic life, they don't have the rights or feelings the way we do, I for one an fully behind the Quarians in their decision to remove the geth during the morning war.

The Geth became sentient life.
You would see that they are destroyed because they are synthetic?

Yep, the Quarians took steps to protect their people, the geth were a mistake and needed to be removed, it obviously didn't work but I stand behind their decision

They Geth did not seek hostility with the Quarians.
They fought for their continued existence.

The sign pointed to war. The geth were probably going to rebel because they thought they had right, they didn't they were machines. Does your computer have rights? Your car? No, the geth became sentient and the Quarians thought they were going to rebel, so they attempted to remove the problem.

Just because they're not organic doesn't mean they don't feel like you and I do.

if you think your car will try to kill you somehow wouldn't you destroy it? Your life is more important than your car which is just a machine

Human automobiles do not contain Artificial Intelligence. In fact, you realize the Quarians were the first ones to attack, not the Geth. Imagine if your parent tried to kill you for a reason you don't understand.

What a small and naive view.

He brought Shepard back.
With out him the collectors would have made that human Reaper and the ME universe would be f**ked.

He made shepard in order to have the hero of the galaxy under his arm, he expected shepard to conform. When he didnt (depending on your playthrough) he freacked out and started screaming like a baby for miranda to arrest him or something.

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." TIM needs to learn this quote.

For the record, TIM never expected you to conform completely.  He even says as much early in the game.  The only thing he expects of you is that you will do everything in your power to stop the reapers.

Since TIM is the ultimate pragmatist, he sees how he can profit from the collector base.  When you make the decision to destroy it out of spite, risking all of the galaxy, TIM understandably reacts negatively.  Thinking emotionally instead of logically is dangerous with that much on the line.  Is risking the entire galaxy to get back at TIM really a good idea?

Did not destory it to get back at him, if you remember what Vigil said you would relize that using reaper tech agianst the reapers will not work. He stated that the reapers dont want us developing or own tech becuase they would not be able to know if it surpassed there own. So if we trust there tech we will be screwed.

We must build or own tech in order to defeat them using there own tech will not work.

Great circular logic there. Something shouldnt have rights becuase it doesnt have rights. AWESOME! Also the quarians only assumed the geth would rebel becuase thats what they woulda done. Although the is no porrf that the would have. Furthermore, the quarians coulda just offered them freedom in either case.

And luckily the Geth won.
The consequenses for the Quarians.
The Geth are now sentient, they do not wish harm upon organics. Qwib Qwib at least has the right idea about the Geth...

In war you don't always wait for the enemy to strike, sometimes you have to pre-empt the enemy to save lives.
