It's pure logic for the Geth to leave. 

1. They don't use the planet at all.
2. It would create permanent (at least for the foreseeable future) peace between them and Quarians.
3. The Geth letting the Quarians back to their world would be big news for the entire galaxy, and show the entire galaxy that the Geth aren't the boogey men most people consider them to be.

There's virtually no downside to them leaving, as long as it can all be done peacefully. It's not like the Geth would place any sentimental value on the area.

The Quarians wouldnt want them to just leave the planet though, theyd want them to leave the perseus veil entirely.

I don't think so. With only 17 million people, the Quarians aren't going to need any space or resources beyond what their planet has for a LONG time.

And even if they did want them to leave the Perseus veil, it doesn't really matter. Mass Relays makes distances irrelevent. All the Geth need is a chunk of space with the resources they need for their Dyson Sphere, and that's that. Hell, the Geth even set up stations in chunks of space between stars, were no organic life would ever be interested in. 

The only downside is that the quarains would try to kill themm again. Thats why they are hesitant. Also people really machines dont just exist forever. They need resourses just like everyone else. They cant just go hang out in the middle of nowhere and survive. Seriously way to fail at using your brain.

Mathematically work out the the most likely scenario that an organic will believe and then just feed misconceptions. And whats this about not holding grudges? I must have missed that news cycle when the Geth declared their borders and informed that other races that they will protect their space. Instead, they simply attack anyone who enters their space for any reason. Likely without warning. The Quarians have solid reasons for no colonizing a planet. For the most part, Tali herself states that it would take a much, much shorter time to acclimatize back to the one homeworld then it would to any other planet (I think it was 60 vs 600 years or something like that.) Some Quarain leaders are making a political push to make war on the Geth. This hardly means the whole race is hell bent on making war on a clearly more powerful foe. In fact, some leaders are decidedly anti-war and pro reconciliation. That would be possible, if the Geth had opened diplomatic relations with . . . well anyone.

We can both agree that  emotional decision making is bad, so emotionless decision making is worse.

Well holding a grudge is an organic emotion.  That isn't an explanation for geth actions no matter what they did.  As far as attacking anyone who goes in their space, I was under the impression that was done by the heretic geth.  The only evidence being the freighter ship in ME1 being infested with husks (implying the heretic geth killed them.  True geth don't have access to reaper tech.)  I may be mistaken, but I don't think there is any evidence of Legion's geth hurting anyone unprovoked.

I also don't recall any admiral or any quarian you talk to wanting to reconcile with the geth.  Koris wanted to colonize a different planet IIRC.  I don't remember Raan's opinion, but the rest wanted to kill/enslave.  As far as I can tell, they haven't begun to explore the diplomatic option.

The geth not reaching out doesn't mean they aren't open to peace either.  They're basically completely neutral atm.

As far as emotionless vs emotional decision making, I guess it isn't really clear cut.  If the geth could ensure their peace by wiping everything out, they may do that.  That said, there is no evidence in game that they are anywhere near being able to do that, or that they would actually try if they could.

i have been called worse, however i believe that i would hate geth no matter what the Quarians felt, cannot say for sure though for obvious reasons. but back to the point, the geth are not "alive" therefore killing them isent even killing them its just shutting them down.

At first I disagreed, but then I thought: The Geth do not want to be test subjects. Buy using them as test subjects, you are directly ignoring the wishes of a sentient race. However, the Geth may not value individuality like we do, so it is interestingly possible that each Geth unit does not hold intrinsic value like each organic does. This would mean that the only reason the Geth disagree is due to the fact that a potential opposing force (the Quarians) may use the information form said testing against the Geth. Which dose not make the act unethical. Interesting.
