The argument was definitely cordial.  Anyone who says otherwise is new to the internet.  I doubt you could find another 20 page argument somewhere with no personal attacks or anything.  The debates were simply people discussing their opinions.  The need to end it is from people who want the thread to go in a different direction, or want it to end before it becomes a flame war.

It was definitely more cordial than the upcoming should Tali be gay argument that will haunt the next 10 pages

It had the potential to be going places that would not remain cordial.  Nature of life/soul/religion, that kind of thing.

On the one hand, everyone deserves Tali's love, and if FemSheps got to romance her it would only be good for Tali to be in ME3 and such (as much as I would suffer). On the other hand, she is hetero which is why I'm against it, but I'm just pointing out that there's always SOMETHING good to come out of a seemingly bad situation. JMO I'm not saying all males don't want F/F but...do a lot of them do?
