Again, haven't played ME2 for a while now...and my mind is turned off whenever I am in this thread

theres more than one way to break a faceplate than being shot in it.

they were probably off-roading then hit a bad bump and crashed she broke it on a rock and passed out.

I'm guessing her system would never really be able to process Shepard's tissues. At best I can see it accessing and then ignoring the foreign contaminants but that might need to be done via slowly reducing the immuno-booster dosage for each visit. I could see her being stuck dealing with rashes and head colds for the rest of their love life as Quarians act like sponges for their enviroments. It might not kill her anymore but it's still clogging her system.

I have a sneaky feeling the immuno-boosters stonewall foreign substances completely so there will be no adaption on her part unless she cuts down on the boosters gradually otherwise she'll always suffer the same risk and side effects.

Remember as well, herbal supplements! I'm sure we all giggled at that but it might be more vital than we think. Possible Quarian herbs from the flotilla, she cycles them through her suit putting her receptors into "busy work" mode so extra foreign matter introduced might simply be ignored by the systems in use.

Still working on my theory <3

Tali and Legion's drone have a massive 30 second cooldown.

Edit: I think you can whittle it down to.... 25 seconds for Tali?

Shepard (Engineer) has a 3 second drone cooldown.

Hmm. So we can see the structure of the eyes and well as what looks like eyebrows, so would that indicate that the Quarians would have hair of some kind?
I think you can even see a tiny corner of a mouth.

Also, I'll add -- you may have been looking at the cooldown for Tali's Drone's attack power, which has ~3 second cooldown.
