Why ya leaving the U.S.?cannedcream wrote...
Temp hovers around 40-70 always never too hot or cold. Public transportation depends on the city. In dunedin there isn't much, just walk its not that big a town. You will need adaptors for your appliances, power in NZ runs on 220 volts not 110 like here in America. The plugs are also sifferently shaped so you need a plug changer and a voltage adaptor. The people are fairly friendly, more so than in Australia where I used to live (moved around a lot)
Thanks for the help. The move probably won't even happen, but in case it does, I'd like to be as ready as possible.
Thank doG I don't have to learn a new language. I can hardly speak English as is. :innocent:
All Tali fans, read this! IT'S UP TO US TO KEEP TALI ALIVE! 3.0!!

Very cool.
Um, just some basic things like normal tempatures, the public transportation system, will I need special adapters for the wall sockets, um. . .heck I don't know. I've never even been out of my state before and now I might be moving overseas.
That scares the crap out of me.
It is going to be a fantastic, eye-opening experience, trust me. There is nothing quite like venturing out of your home country for the first time., just be willing to embrace the unfamiliar. It is a bigger deal for us Americans since we are not surrounded by other countries mere hours away, as Europeans are. We are fairly isolated, and frankly I think it makes us ethnocentric. It is easier to feel close to the other citizens of the world once you've been there and seen how very alike we are, despite our differences.
Scary I know, but you'll enjoy it.
PS: Also, I understand that NZ is absolutely gorgeous. It is where they filmed LoTR
It is beautiful, I always love going there
I'm an american but I think when I moved to Australia it was the best 6 years of my life
that was before Tali though

I'm pretty disappointed that it's STILL not done processing, so it doesn't look nearly as good as it should, but eh, it looks good enough.
How did you get that suit for Shepard?
There's a way to unlock them on the PC version. You have to download some coalesced file that has them unlocked, at least that's what I did.

Oh snap, it just finished processing, the 1080p rez is available, haha! Awesome.

I really do need to widen my world view. I've lived in one small town all of my life except for when I was in college, but that was still in the same state.
I don't have much keeping me here. There will be a few friends I'll be leaving behind, but that would really be the worst of it.
NZ is also where the guys from Flight of the Conchords are from, which is equally awesome.
