Not as weird as Zevran hitting on my male Dragon Age character, though. Never talked to him again, lol.

That is a pretty badass speech. I like it and though I massively lean towards the Paragon side, I do not feel that an occassional Renegade moment is out of the question - this applies both to the games and in real life.

Anyone have a link the othe "rally the crowd" option? I've never seen it.

Ah... Sweet, sweet Tali'Zorah. I'm late to the party. In fact, I'm late to the ME universe. You'll have to forgive me.

Like many of you, I'm sure, I found myself being swept away by Tali's chirpy and perky "See you later!", in the engine room of the SR-1. Tali wasn't carrying a dreadnought-sized chip on her shoulder, like Ashley. She wasn't all emotionally involved with the fact that her mother was someone we were hunting, like Liara. She was just a young Quarian girl trying to make (and take) her place amongst her people. In many respects, Tali was more human than the other humans aboard the Normandy.

The daughter of an admiral might be expected to be spoiled, arrogant and abrasive. The daughter of a father who was never home might be expected to be clingy and co-dependant, looking for the father figure she never had, or have a tough-girl facade that she'd been forced to wear to cover up the fact that her father was never there.

Tali was none of those things. She was bright, energetic, humble and well-adjusted. Confident enough to know when it was smart to be scared. Both cute and adorable but intelligent and mature in equal parts. Surprisingly emotive, for a character whose face you could never see and whose expression you could never read. The voice acting was tremendous. Tali didn't need an Elcor-like custom to convey her meaning and intent. Helmet or no helmet, she was always clear in her meaning.

Even her name engenders the same feelings as her personality. Names are always important, as any roleplayer knows. Ashley gets shortened to Ash. Liara is always Liara, and Tali'Zorah becomes Tali - Short, cheery and friendly-sounding, just like Tali herself.

Like any personality type we meet, whether in real life or in a game, book or movie - Personal preferences will always be the deciding factor in who likes whom.

But by being who she is, Tali hits a lot of buttons for a lot of people - There's a certain 'common denominator' when it comes to attractiveness - And Tali has it in spades.

I could hardly have put it better myself. Thank you and welcome Raphael.

Someone posted a pic last night that so far is my favorite Tali pic. I wish i had copied it. They took a character from Hellboy 2 I think and tweaked it. It was very well done, if anyone has it could they post it?

That's it, not too sure about the hair. imho should either have no hair or short cropped. Really like the eyes, she looks alien without being too far out there.

with a female character.

This is one of the more interesting, and possibly realistic, takes on what Tali may look like IMO. I'm not convinced that's what BioWare will go for, but it does seem like it could be a realistic interpretation nonetheless.

Nostrils. On the forehead.

Either way... since people were talking about their Sheps' first names...
Anyone else keeping the default "John" and appearance for all of their Sheps?

I've a bunch of John Shepards. They all look the same. They're all soldiers.

You are not the only one bro...

Mostly because I'm too lazy to create an own Shepard, whch also looks good (but I need a younger face... Tali is 24 and Shepard is around 35 years old...)

Shepard is (accounting for the 2 years and 12 days on an operating table under the care of Cerberus) ca. 31 years old. That's not that big of an age difference considering where each of them are in life and what they have experienced. Also, prolonged combat environments place tremendous amounts of stress on an individual; it is not uncommon for many soldiers to look older than they are chronologically speaking due to some of these stress factors.

He was dead for most of those two years so his body wouldnt have aged which would make shepard closer to 29-30ish

Conjecture. While possible it is also possible that during the 2 years and 12 days on the operating table his body would have aged when not kept on ice. Furthermore, the massive trauma and tissue damage his body suffered would have aged him far more than any normal human aging process. While I do see your point (I raised the same point back in the first thread when this question was raised,) from a legal perspective Shepard is 31 as determined by his date of birth.

I did too, at first. Always considered every guy who plays female characters "weird".
Until I was forced to play a female blood elf on WoW, because my stupid friends insisted on playing horde, and every horde race looked ugly. The bloodelves were the only race that looked acceptable - but only the females, the males were... you know. "Mando", as the ToR forums would say.
After that, I also found that playing female characters is a good alternative to male characters on free online games. You know, the kind of male character that looks like a female character in the first place.

This post might seem a bit Off-Topic. But I can explain!
It's a post about female characters. And who's the best female character in any game?
TALI!

For me it depends on the game. If there are no serious romance sub-plots then I don't mind having a pretty female face and a nice feminine backside to admire while playing the game (besides, sometimes a badass chick fits certain roles so well). However, in games with such deep role playing/story telling elements as the ME games and many of BioWare's other games which do involve romance sub-plots, I want to play as a male in order to more accurately reflect my own persona, morals, likes and dislikes in the game character.

Haha same for me!, I'm not liking how flirty femshep is with Jacob, even from the first talk, I think I'll just talk to Kelly and Tali for this playthrough...

It helps inmensely to now that she's attracted to your Shep from the start, when Kelly told me (  ) I was giggling for an hour.

I once created a custom Shep for fun. He was black, had a huge head, blonde hair and a pink beard, if I remember right. Total Renegade. But I only played him for a few hours, I couldn't focus on playing because he looked just far too ridiculous to be evil.

Apart from that, I just want my Shepards to be as "canon" as possible, so I stick with the defaults. Soldier also seems a bit more "canon" than the rest, and it's the class I'd prefer anyways.

According to the ME timeline, Shep's 31 in ME2. 24 and 31 is perfectly acceptable to me.

Some of the lighting in the ME games do make our good male Shepard look older than 31, so I can certainly comprehend why you thought he might be 35. Still, a handsome fella he is (providing you don't have the whole Sith Lord cyborg effect going on).
