Well I hate to go back to not believing the books, but in a world with the internet, pictures, and people with lifespans of thousands of years, there is absolutely no way there aren't pictures of quarians everywhere.  So does the ME universe purge everything on the internet every 10 years?  Thousands of asari have seen quarians in person from before they had to wear suits.  Not one of them had a camera?  You couldn't have gotten an explanation on what quarians looked like if you had asked the asari matriarch bartender?

And in the last 300 years no quarian has been offered a lot of money to take a picture in a sterile room?  We aren't the only ones who find quarians hot, there would be a market for quarian pictures. 

The internet is too strong of a force.  What can't you find on the internet today?  If there was a group of people similar to the quarians, there is no chance people wouldn't know what they look like.

Yeah, it's mentioned that the waste is stored in a liner between the linings of the suit. I didn't really think it feasible, but whatever, that's what it says. It's in the Ascension book.

they have special pockets in their suits that can hold several days worth and can be flushed into any normal waste disposal unit. it is described in the book Ascention... these pockets are sealed to prevent any contamination inside the suit.

Well I'm actually curious if the books explain why.  It's fine if you want to make something up as a science fiction writer, but fans have a right to pick everything you write apart.  And outside of quarians being invisible in photographs like vampires or something, the no quarian picture argument is bs.

At work. Am just glad the earlier nonsense died off. People should learn that untill we all get an 'unique' id that one has to use to use the net, anyone can do anything, say anything they want. Best thing to do in the mean time is just ignore anything or anyone that you can't abide with.

I think quarians were mentioned in the codex entry for Fornax.

I'm not totally familiar anymore with all that was said, but from my recollection it was a short excerp. It has to do with them being so afraid of disease that the only place a quarian would ever take off their enviro-suit would be in the most private places- that being within the migrant fleet.

What gets me is why don't they just use clear ****ing lenses on their facesheild? Or transitions!! Human invented those in like 1982!!

There's what, 17 million quarians now?  And they've been around for more than 300 years.  Not once, a single picture leaked?  It's just unfathomable.

As far as why their face masks are tinted, I would say Bioware being noncommital towards a design is the actual reason, whether they want to justify it in game later or not.

I'm surprised at how much vitriol springs up around here from time to time.  Especially when you look at a situation a few nights ago where a bunch of people were debating stuff like TIM and whether its right to kill the geth or not, and for 20+ pages, no one resorted to personal attacks or anything.  That tells me that the community is more mature than most on the internet, and yet we still get page after page arguing about stupid stuff.  If there was any forum on the internet where I would expect people to just happily coexist it would be this one.
