Okay, that Tali rejection dialog is depressing. I'm going to make myself feel better by reposting this thing I wrote in the previous thread

Tali looks at Shepard's face, and gently strokes his cheek and jaw line, running her fingers through Shepard's facial stubble."Quarians and humans are the only advanced species with hair, and quarians never get it on their bodies or faces. It's...somewhat alien to me to see a face with hair on it..." She says softly, continuing to stroke Shepard's light beard.

"Well, I suppose I can shave it off it bothers you, Tali. Most humans prefer to keep it off anyway." Shepard responds, smiling lightly.

"No, no. It doesn't bother me. I, actually kinda like it..." She responds in a cute, girlish tone, reminiscent of how she admitted enjoying Shepard's yelling after her trial, and continues to stroke Shepard's facial hair, staring at him.

I feel badly in that I know I'm missing parts of the game, but I've had no interest in romancing anyone BUT Tali.

Miranda is a turn-off. A little self absorbed. I hear she thaws at the end of a Para run, but I missed it. For that battle I want 'people' there that I felt some attatchment to. She wasn't it.

I don't hate her or Jack, but not only are they not terribly likeable they project "needy" so brightly you can see it from orbit. Being with them isn't a relationship, it's another career. I've been with a Miranda and it was the most emotionally exhausting relationship I've ever had.

They need Shepard to fill deficiecies in themselves.

She doesn't need him. Tali WANTS Shepard. Huge difference. She gives solid reasons for wanting to be in his life. Add to that sweetly shy, giving, selfless and you have someone it'd be hard not to love.

She's the girl a Paragon Shep would be proud to have and one a Renegade would work to begin to be worthy of.

Nicely written, deftly acted. She just works.

And of course, she needs to be a squaddie and LI in ME3. No little throwaway cameos, please.

Hehe,... i just replayed ME1 and had a similar conversation with Liara... i still have her picture on my desk in ME2 which is kinda weird. I'm sure she doesn't have a picture of Shepard on hers :innocent:

I wish you could get a pic of Tali on your desk instead of just turning the frame over. What no one got a camera here?

Yep that was me a lot I think.... I get the feeling from Miranda's statement that "Everyone will know your with her" if you have the confrontation with her that she is showing her female dominance.

Gotta rub it in the other obvious LI's faces that she is your choice so Jack and Tali have to leave so you can do eeeeet. Real queen Bit** motif imo but thats just my impression could be nothing but her "having to have the best"

Unknown. It would be preferable to have it collaborated with actual video footage, however whether it is factual or not it still makes for a tear jerker scenario.

It's factual but I believe this is in the encounter after the one by the drive core if memory serves correctly but before the love scene in your cabin. Jack does something similar if you start to romance her then pull a 180 as she calls it before yelling at you.

If that means that you aren't sure if you want to believe that the scenario is actually in the game - I have a save around that time and could try it right now. XBox 360 too though, so no YouTube upload, just confirmation. But then I'd need some nice words to cheer me up.
