I doubt Bioware would hand us something this significant with just some dialogue. There's no doubt going to be more conflict before there is peace between them, they've been at odds for a long time. And I don't know how the conclave feels, but the admirals in ME2 certainly seemed mostly for war. At least that's what the e-mail I received after Tali's loyalty quest seemed to hint at.

Well, by game logic, there would have to be fighting in there at some point.  Maybe killing some heretic geth to prove to Legion's geth that you're trustworthy or something.  I don't see how anything besides a diplomatic option works though.

I look at it like this, if you show up on Rannoch with Tali and Legion, and the quarian people see you guys singing kumbayah with the geth, they'll drop their stupid war plans and see that peace is the answer.  Above all, the quarians want their homeworld back, if you can prove to them that you can get it for them, they'll change whatever philosophies they have to.  How you prove to them that you can do it is what I don't know, but I don't see the geth being the hurdle, its the quarians.

Of course. I see it that way too.

But there is potential for a "refusing to listen" outcome you know. "This geth proves nothing!" and other such 'bash your face into a desk' scenarios. I don't know what they'll do but certainly there will be some fighting, games really can't shy away from sticking combat into every orifice can't they?

Well I see a much bigger problem in convincing the turians and other council races to help you.  The quarians situation seems easily resolvable compared to the turian council member.  Sure there is potential for some facepalm moments with the quarian admirals, but as of now, 2 of the 4 would be open to peace/reasoning, and Shepard is a master negotiater.

Although to be fair...since it did have to be synthesized to a certain extent to get that digitized effect when she talks, how hard would it be to make a Tali voice synthesizer?

If you think about it though the Krogan were made space-faring by the Salarians.
For all we know they would have done the same to us...but after seeing what the Krogan did with the tech, they vowed never to interfere again.
