Her accent is one of the things that really pulls you into the character.  It is sexy and mesmerizing.  I wonder how close it is the Liz's real voice.  I know they sythesized it but that mainly gives the effect of sounding like it is coming through a speaker just like Shepard when he has a helmet on.  Wouldnt it be hot if Liz came to a con panel and spoke with that voice the whole time for the fans.  Tali is the best!

You are right.  History has told us this many times.  In this country alone we have way to much illogical hate going on and I dont see an end to it coming past having an enemy to fight that wants us all dead.

Was that an interrupt?  I know if you let the paragon icon pass, you have a choice between disarming Kolyat and shooting the turian.  Shooting him was a bottom right choice though, I don't remember a renegade interrupt anywhere.

Shooting the convieniently placed explosive thingy was a renegade interupt.
All ones involving firing weapons are.

Explosive thing?  We still talking about Thane's loyalty mission?  I know that shooting the lamp is a paragon interrupt, so not all shooting is renegade.

To go back to your other point though, I don't see how the system is flawed.  Is not being totally in control of the system so bad?  I see it as realistic.  Its just like when you see the red or blue option lit up, you already know you can resolve the situation no matter what.  It's too easy.  Like with Thane's loyalty mission, do you go for the quick option, or try to resolve the situation through talking.  It forces you to make a quick decision.

It is funny becasue Yavonne is not american at all.  She play an american really well.  If Liz sounds that hot in real life then I need to find her and change her last name for real.  I wonder if she would be ok cosplaying as Tali during happy time?  On the real I get where you are coming from.  She is not speaking with the accent but that just means she can turn it on at any time.  Now that you have mentioned interviews it is time for me to watch this extras disk from the collectors version of the game.

Actors rarely alter their voices when they do voice over work.

It's why I don't like when they hire big name actors.

The cost is almost definitely dramatically higher and the quality often is lower.

But it lets people go "OMG MARTIN SHEEN/OMG YVONNE STRAHOVSKI!!!" and then think they're good voice actors.


Reminds me when Morgan Freemen did a parody narration "Ever since I was a little boy, people have enjoyed the sound of my
voice. And I figured you either get busy talkin or you get busy dyin’.
The work is really quite easy. Why even right now I’m just sitting in a
chair, sipping some tea and reading from a script. The wall is covered
in something that resembles egg crates except they’re soft and spongy,
like a twinkie…like a twinkie."

Haha yeah I was dissapointed too. Her voice is still sexy though...and besides, she can still make herself speak with that awesome accent whenever the hell she wants so...its not too bad

The difference here is that the quarians illogical hate is rooted in one thing.  The homeworld.  No one (or at least not many quarians) have either fought or lost family members to geth first hand.  If they can get their homeworld back, I don't see how that doesn't bury the hatchet for most people.

If the quarians can be shown that illogical hate is standing in the way of them getting their planet back, I would like to think that at least the leadership could change accordingly, even if 100% of quarians couldn't.

I thoroughly enjoyed Martin sheen's AND Yvonne strahovski's VAing, the latter isn't even a big star really..

And Mark Meer's VA in the first game? You don't always get good VAing with people who are specifically that.

They're actors, they know how to fake emotions in their own voices and give a delivery, but the vocal range on a professional voice actor is extreame. It's their job, it has to be.

They did their job well, I appreciate that. What I dislike is how much more they probably costed compared to hiring standard voice actors.

Agreed. Martin sheen did an incredible job to breathe so much peronality into TIM even though all he ever does is smoke, drink, and talk to you
