As much as I hate to admit it, Miranda is by far one of the most useful characters on insanity mode.  Being able to destroy shields AND armor AND she gives the whole team health and weapon damage bonuses.  If there's one thing I don't like about ME2 insanity mode, it's that they really pigeon holed you into usinc certain characters.

Aye, on non-loaylty missions I was generally using Miranda and then switching out the other spot with either Garrus or Mordin.. Garrus for synthetics and mercs, Mordin for collectors

I don't know why but I ran past on Insanity using my old ME gang of Tali and Garrus for almost all the missions. Drone to distract, Garrus AP ammo + overload brings down shield and armor, Tali AI hack + me sniping while Tali and Garrus harras from cover usually takes all but the most difficult missions without too many casulties. Hardest being Horizon oddly enough due to the charging armored husks. 

The other "good combo" I had was when I had switch between the 3 biotic queens, Samara + Mirranda / Jack also makes a damned good combo. Samara brings downs shields with reave then have Jack use improved shockwave to toss them all over. Stuns and disables them for a few moments while you cherry pick targets and take them out. Though somehow I almost always go back the Tali + Garrus. They are a good team.

It's character development, why I like her... When you first meet she's arrogant, but as time goes on she realizes she's not as perfect as she though; and in fact needs the help of others... Those moments when she talks to you about how you're so perfect and she was made to be perfect and still makes mistakes, hearttouching

Yeah, it's a glitch Seems like Tali is more flexible than we imagined though

Ya. I always take her and Tali for the final fight now.
Saving Tali from the fall, then having Mirranda give her speech, is priceless.

Shepard : "I am destroying the collector's base, we don't need it to win...and I am sure as hell not giving it to you.."
TIM : /rants... *orders Mirranda to stop Shepard*
Mirranda : middle fnger salute
Tim : /Rants some more...
Mirranda : "consider this my resignation" cuts TIM off ala Joker and the council.
